Gotcha. We started ours on science diet because of the discount but now feed them a local brand "annamet"..im probably not spelling it right. Science diet seemed to give them the shits and switching seemed to firm things right up.

 

ya thats what ive been fighting im gonna try another brand here soon when the science diet is gone since well its expensive

 

I’ve never like feeding puppy food for that reason. Both Kimo and Riley ate regular dog food from the beginning because that’s what the breeder fed them.

I’m not a fan of free feeding. Mostly because it can affect poop schedules. Plus, when you’re traveling, not as easy to leave feed out all day.

 

Not to but in but our malinois has a sensitive stomach and we feed her victors lamb and brown rice no recalls yet for them.

She is allergic to chicken and this has worked not too cheap but chewy sends it. she had the shits as well but almost perfect at all times good luck.

Our decision to free feed was based around work schedules. Rotating schedule with no set frequency in the emergency department made consistent feeding times nearly impossible. It definitely makes the bathroom schedule more difficult but overall it’s been good for us.

 

I understand every situation is different, but two of the best things I did in our marriage is stick to my guns with our cat (15yo) and dog (9yo). Our cat pissed on things(including our bed) and our dog bit/nipped us. Oh well. You take an animal on for life... Both have overcome their issues. Both still here and living the best life they can, and spoiled. Both are our loves, with no regrets. Both loved by family and visitors. When life gives you lemons, make a vodka tea with fresh lemon

And they never lay this close, as the dog normally wants to chase/play. And that's my wife they're laying on, who NEVER wanted the cat, and was scared of the dog (that she wanted)

Sig is my Belgian Malinois. He's a civil personal protection dog who also does explosive detection and competitive dock diving. He's a pretty damn good trail dog too..

This was Tessa's first snow last winter at about 4 months old. She had an absolute blast. Took to a neighbors yard with a fence and she just ran and played, dove into deeper snow looking for the "ball" I threw.
