How’s your dad doing? Any updates?

 

He’s still in the hospital but he’s in much better shape, all things considered. When he went into heart failure Saturday fluid had built up in his lungs and abdomen, he said it felt like drowning but not being underwater. Scary stuff. They gave him Lasicks and some medicine to make his heart pump better to get the fluid out. He lost like 10 pounds in fluid in that process. Sunday when I visited him he couldn’t stand without help, it hurt to move and would get winded saying a few words. By Monday he could talk normal and yesterday he’s moving on his own, slowly.

He’s still on oxygen and whatever IV meds they’ve been giving him to make his heart pump better. Today they’re doing a heart catheter to assess the damage and see what next steps are. They know he has major blockages and they think bypass surgery is too risky. His heart is just really weak, but he’s had heart problems for over 10 years.

Still not sure what this means for his outlook going forward, but he’s still here and that’s what matters. I want to say a big thank you to everyone for their thoughts and prayers, it means a lot.

Just got here.. we’re gonna have to meet somewhere she ain’t gonna let me just roll out of here! We’re at her moms sides family deal. I’m technically in Fountain Inn… where’s a good half way point.

 

Depending on the way you came .. but half way from here to fountain inn is hwy 25 (Augusta rd) and hwy 418 meet...

Hey @Jim=2015 TRD PRO we weren’t able to meet up today, but I’ll be heading back up that way next week and will definitely have time… gonna go shoot with the FIL during my vacation and will work out a time with @Jeffvt0508 when I got more exact details.

 

Never fails. Christmas season comes around and boom. Sick kid. It really shows how dirty our dogs keep the rug in the den. All the deep cleaned throw up spots are really standing out now.

my oldest daughter has the stomach flu as of this morning...its only a matter of time before it starts spreading to others in our house...I'd rather have covid. fml

 

I sucked this out of my 3 year olds nose last night.

Little one has a ruptured ear drum from a crayon… apparently. She’s on the couch laying her ear on a heating pad.
