I don’t have problems with snow/ice build up because I park in a heated garage but agree with the grip tape because mine get slippery.

My rock sliders make for terrible steps, but I find stepping on them is easier than stepping over them without getting mud/snow on my pants. I’m average height and the truck has a 1-2” lift plus 33s.

Since you posted pics, how miserable would it be to wheel/camp grand canyon-southern utah area in jan-feb? Super cold?

It'll be pretty chilly, we were there in Early November and it was dipping into the teens at night and we were getting occasional snow days. I would consider planning a trip for mid to late march, you could still get snowed on then but it is less likely and the weather will be starting to get warmer (60ish or so)

ARB Bumper, SOS sliders, SOS rear bumper, SOS skid plate. OME Lift. Some other stuff.
I'm wondering who runs mud flaps with sliders.

Same yo, all mine ripped off years ago, then the cab chop and bed well chop... now I'd have to make a place for them to mount if I wanted em again, you know so I could rip them off once more.

I did. Only dicks don’t have mudflaps on their trucks. Cheap plasticolor flaps that are flexible and easy to remove or replace when needed.

Wedge a yard stick under the front tire where it meets the pavement now lift the yard stick up to bottom of the mud flap and draw a visual line. Anything below this line is not protected from mud, stones, chips snow...

The mudflaps still catch some of the crap and it’s mostly a daily driver. Cut a slit from each bolt hole out to the edge so they just pop off if there is something too tall.

I guess it’s close enough to Friday. I used to say that when I was drinking too.

Yep, pretty annoying. I'm halfway tempted to unbolt mine in the winter.

I have had it prevent the door from opening, but only once or twice. Even more annoying though is when it freezes between the slider and the cab, which creates an awful rattle.

Or when enough slush and gravel spray gets into the cab mount cavity and freezes solid. Basically riding on bricks instead of bushings at that point.
