Good morning MD. Weather is as crappy as predicted. I am going to make bread today. Artisan rounds in the dutch oven, regular white bread and a dense loaf with chunks of provolone and cubed pepperoni. Stay warm. @$500TRD any updates on the weather out your way?

It really is awful weather. No snow. Too warm. This 'horribly cold rain' weather is worse than probably anything.

Sort of. It doesn't have any sauce. I saw the recipe on Americas Test Kitchen. It was a staple of the working men of the time. Its just a dense loaf with chunks of cheese and rough cut chunks of pepperoni.

 

Hey all, I want to start piecing together more truck over the year. I currently have rock sliders, and will be adding a front bumper with winch and a rear bumper. I do some offroading, and with the weight increase, I know I need to upgrade my suspension. It's a daily driver 2016 TRD OR with the OR Bilsteins and what looks to be 1 or 2" spacers. What do y'all recommend that will enable me to handle the added weight, still transport people or lumber, and add a couple inches to the ride height without breaking the bank?

You probably want something like Billie 6110/5160 (I think those numbers). @memario1214 can help you out. I think those are the mid tier range… well I guess fox 2.0s might be mid tier as well.

I used to recommend Ironman and while I still really like them, at their current price point you could save a little more for King or fox 2.5.
Though you wouldn’t get the leaf packs so that should be accounted for. If you keep the lift about 2.5 your UCAs should be fine.

 

Thanks. I'm not looking to go too terribly high with the truck so 2.5 is fine for me, for now at least lol. What would you recommend for leaf packs? I may end up wanting to go 3" just to have a bit more tire clearance since I'm rocking the KO2s and they currently rub a bit on the fenders on sharp turns... oops lol

 

I don’t really know enough about the leaf packs to give you a recommendation. I do know I’ve not had any real issue that was not easily addressed with the Ironman leaf packs I have. I did have them squeak but it was from the rubber on the saddle so a little spray lube fixed that.
I want to say I see a bunch of the suspension kits just include an AAL and not a full leaf pack.
I just looked at the price and the IM kit is 2600 while on sale for the full suspension with UCAs or 1900 without them.
That might be close to what the 6110/5160 and leaf pack would be.

 

Watched it change from rain to snow in Bel Air/Forest Hill while running an errand

 

I’ll add in, if you’re interested in stopping by one day when you’re back up here I’ll drive you around and you can get a feel of the IM and OTT tune, if you’re interested in that too

That, I dont know.

I have the 6112s for a 2nd gen that are much softer, the newer ones that go on the 3rd gens are pretty stiff by comparison. The safest way to know the bumper weight is handled is to go with OME 886 coils up front
