Wind is picking up. Howling now.

 

It was doing that in the Boston area all night long. Seems a touch more quite now, but we'll see how long that lasts.

I’m describing the cold front should get there by evenin rush.

 

Should be later. If it happens during the evening commute, it's going to be horrendus. The bottom of the thermometer shouldn't dip below freezing until 8-9 tonight according to the latest fiction-cast. Hopefully the wind dries things up so there's not a lot of ice on the roads.

Yeah, the temperature is supposed to drop off a cliff. I just finished a class with a group in Travis County, TX. Temps down there are in the teens right now. Of course by mid week it will be much warmer there than here.

I haven't been watching for any black outs/pipe explosions, but after the Armageddon they had - was it just last year? or the year before? - I bet some people learned how to do cold weather. But that's some shenanigans weather for, I'm sure, a ton of people "YEAH let's do christmas with Bill and Stephanie in Austin it'll be warm for a change!" - decided back in August

Glad to have the day off.

Put the chickens in the basement as the freezing temps tonight and if they get wet today = bad mix for their survival. Other than that I guess I'm just chillen with my dog.

That was early 2021. My daughter's apartment complex lost heat and water due to pipes breaking. As long as they don't lose power, it should be okay.

She and her BF are going to his father's place on South Padre Island for the weekend, but she has a friend coming over to her condo to feed the cats and make sure everything is okay.
