How have you been liking the plow on the Kubota? What model tractor do you have again? I have a plow for my B7610 but haven’t had a big enough storm to put it to work

I don't mind losing yard space, less lawn to mow!

Naked cannonballz! Haha..mine ain't that bad to care for.

Those are an awesome purchase for any pool. I have a battery powered and a self powered that hooks to the filter.

I suspected a good deal of yard leveling etc when I saw that cost.

Mine is 25 by 15, 54 inches deep. Fit just in the side so no relocating shit, it's enough for the 2 of us. I also do use it a lot..every day. Total cost was about 5 grand in 2011

My folks never really thought about school systems..reason being, they always sent me and my sister to Catholic schools. I know here they just built the new school a few years ago but I forget the grade it begins at, 7th maybe?

I do agree, ultimately it's the student first. No system can motivate a lazy child ultimately..I was the "too smart for my own good" type.

    Haha..have you seen my bathroom?

I grabbed some of the neighbors lawns to show. Mowing is suuuuper easy in my yard. I'm top middle. Front takes about 20 minutes, back about 30. When bagging it takes more time, but I have done it no bag/no string trimmer in about 30 minutes before.

    upload_2022-12-23_13-24-55.jpg

I don't mind mowing it, it goes quick. Takes time, but it's not like it's a super hassle. The neighbor next to me (top right) is in ground, the other two are above ground. If the neighbor to the right ever puts their house on the market, I would jump ship for that one. Detached 2 car w/ an inlaw above, bunch of space, and an in ground pool. But, his son might "get" it instead.

Anyway, without knowing the zoning, here's what I'd think a pool would go, roughly. Maybe stretching bigger to the southwest. But that is WELL outside of our budget/scope right now. Way more things to work on before we consider that.

Mine is about an hour to mow and bag. A tad less on the tractor, maybe a tad more with the push mower. Doesn't bother me except when the goddamn leaves fall.

Top of my skull at least locally it had to be at least 20 feet from the house or any other house..just in case it busts. Not sure what else as far as location.

I will politely somewhat disagree with this. I started high school wanting to be a doctor, because as you do. My high school had a CAD program, within a month I had abandoned all doctor drive - that was Jr year. Sr. year I was taking an online physics class beyond what my school could do (there were 2 of us in the class, and only me in the 1st semester mechanics part of it), I had self-guided learning for programming too - 4th quarter Sr. year I didn't have to get to school until 11

If it wasn't for the CTE program and getting down in front of a CAD machine, I would be at some residency right now (I think?) for god knows what. I have the drive, but if it wasn't for my CTE program, I'd have it allocated to doctor-things.

Yeah I'm sure there's setbacks and the gradient probably plays into too, honestly - I don't care enough to know right now

I'm JUST on the cusp for a ride on. If I had one, it would be dinky tiny, BUT it wouldn't be "too much for the yard", but JUST. I have a neighbor who has one with a yard half my size and it's comedic to watch :D

I just pull the leaves away form the fence and blast em with the mower. I bag first mow in the spring now and that's it. Otherwise it's going back into mother nature.

Wind is picking way up now, and it feels like the temperature is starting to drop.

As to my son's pool, yes there was some leveling, but not as much as I thought there would be.

His vacuum is battery powered and I think he just puts it into the pool and lets it do it's thing. There might even be a remote for it.

Just needs to make friends...use the pool..head home, they clean it :)

My neighbors growing up had a pool. We were basically allowed over there to swim all the time...
They sold their hose and retired, my parents put in a pool for the grandkids...

And Now I feel old because I can't believe it's been over 5 years since they put the "new" pool in.

My town gets shenanigans with pools and structures that aren't to code, spend a lot of time enforcing minute infractions on it. Helps having chill neighbors at least.

Pretty much - I can trade smoked meats for pool access!

The old saying - it's better to have friends with a pool/boat/hot tub/lake house - than to be the friend with one.

I've had the same mower for 18 years...craftsman fwd walk behind with recycle blade. I've fixed everything on it at least once...It took me about an hour to mow my nearly 1/2 acre...My friend asked me to hang onto his mower at my house this fall/winter while he was moving. It's a husqvarna variable speed 4wd walk behind...it's literally 2x as fast as my mower....
It might be time for a new mower...It was a treat to operate.

Take a look at Crestwood Pools. Tongue and grove wooden boards, held in place by aviation grade stainless steel cables. Above ground. We used ours for twenty years, at which time we gave it away to a fellow Tacoma World member.https://www.crestwoodpools.com/

Ours was a namco strength only where it needed to be otherwise it was physics mostly. When I left or shal I say thrown out the pool boy went as well right now it’s over grown , liner shredded filter busted open from freezing. Same with the lawn. Over grown nothing close to civilization. It’s a shame but as the saying goes

    o

Mine is just about overkill for a tractor, it depends in the season if I want to just get it done ASAP or not which machine I use. Push mower always gets mulched though. Come fall I get so many leaves it would choke the push mower. I just use the tractor, dump the bins into the truck bed, every few stops idle up the street to the recycle center and unload.

Same here, mine is 18-19 as well. My tractor is an old Murray about 23 years old, every 2-3 years needs a minor fix ($200 or less) but cheaper than buying new.
