A month ago I bought a permit for the Kaibab NF/Williams District to cut this coming weekend. It never dawned on me that was only a week before Christmas. So we recently bought our tree at the local Boy Scouts' lot and I'll donate the 17.50 back to the NFS, aka "stupid tax."

Any weekend mechanics want to help me install 2 new CV axles in my Tacoma? Ripped a boot on 1 so figured I'd do both sides at the same time.

When you trying to get it done? I’m out of town this weekend but could probably do early morning next Saturday. Should only take an hour or so

Still in the frozen north. Kids are all out on their own now, and wife and I are starting to execute our plan to make this our last winter in MN. NAZ is where we will be landing. Look forward to getting to know some others ahead of the move!

It can wait a little. I just ripped the boot a few weeks ago so I should have another few years of life left in it haha.
But I have 2 reman. cv axles from Findlay and the cv/diff seals ready to go. Just need someone who has done this before or knows what they're doing...

Thanks for the heads-up on the moving thread! We've been down there a few times. We have it narrowed down to the Flagstaff/Williams/Sedona triangle area. Starting to seriously look at property now, so any suggestions for sources or decent real estate people in the area are welcomed.

No problem  Its all a nice area. I am further east in Show Low so not terribly familiar with agents in that area. The other guys will be able to help you in that spot. Sedona is nice to visit but I dont think I could live there due to it being such a tourist hot spot and the traffic but thats just me tho. But welcome! We have a great group here in AZ all over the state!

We’ll see if any of my plans change for next weekend. If that doesn’t work then the following will for sure.

You'll like it here in Arizona - it's a brisk 67 degrees outside now in Phoenix - cold up north but nothing like is happening around the country.

Sedona is nice but expensive and touristy - Williams is nice too - Flagstaff is expensive to boot - gets cold and it floods a lot in the summer rains so beware. Lots of flooding in Flagstaff. You get 20-30 miles outside any of those areas and prices should be more reasonable - nice place to live out here for sure.

It’s -5*F here right now…with the 25-30MPH winds, it feels like -35*. Used to love winter, but the honeymoon is over. HAHA

Thanks for the info! We will definitely end up in a rural setting. I’ve grown to like our dogs more than most people the past few years. LOL Payson was another area we enjoyed too. Thanks again for taking the time to post!

How does this Saturday work for ya? Igor one other side job lined up for the morning. Can probably have you head over around 1 or 2 and knock out the axle swaps
