Its dirt floor with a plastic liner on it. Whatever leaks runs to one side and into the sump pit. Ive had so many issues with groundwater down there that draining the entire water heater on the floor wouldnt phase me tbh.

 

Western WA got cold last night too, freezing rain is rare here.

It's crazy just how different this side of the state is vs where I live. Even smells super different.

I haven't ventured outside yet, but looking at it through the window, it certainly look treacherous.

 

Yeah the gravel was downright slippery, I wouldn't go anywhere if you don't have to. This needs to melt before I would drive anything without studs.

Woke up to a very cold house this morning. Furnace wont stay running. Want's to start but then shuts down.

I'm waiting for my furnace guy but I'm guessing he may not make it out today.

 

Isn't that furnace brand new?

 

If you haven't already crack some faucets open just a bit to avoid frozen pipes while you're without heat. Supposed to get to 40* today but I think it is still in the 20s

 

Yup. Installed this summer.

Yeah, got the upstairs bathroom faucet cracked open.

My t-stat says it 30°

 

Those newer furnaces will pretty much all tell you what is wrong with light blinks, if you look up the model you can figure out what the light blinks mean and solve the problem I'd bet, it's too new for major component failure. I'd bet theres too much exhaust pressure from a frozen flue pipe or something.

 

Time to buy some candles and flower pots for mini heaters.

 

I've read that 99% of issues in the first year are installation issues. I'm sure you are correct, the weather is playing role in whatever is going on. This freezing rain shit has somehow impacted this thing. It's the first time its been really cold since the install.

I haven't seen any lights. Nothing on the unit's t-stat either.

 

Gotta take the front panel off it to reveal the control board.
