    Morning
Rain and wind at the moment.
    Both picking up.
Suppose to peak later this morning. (About the time the funeral starts.)
As long as we can get back to the house after, and everyone else gets home too, then
    we can decompress.
Everyone in the grips be safe and smart…

Yea you don’t want to do that.
Another reason for a check engine light.

So far so good with the storm. Haven't lost power, couple inches of snow, dish antenna heaters for tv, internet, are doing their thing. Wind 32mph. Temp. 1°F, still going down at 4am.

It's pretty sporty out right now.
50+ mph gusts and I've seen the sky light up with some blown transformers in the distance.
There's a lot of full size rotted oaks around here just waiting.
    Still have power...for now.

54° degrees, raining pelting down and the wind howling. I really don't want to have to go out in this firing up the generator :fingerscrossed:

Good morning. The DC area dodged the snow yesterday, but it rained all day long, heavy at times. Temps supposed to start dropping in the late morning today with a low of 14 overnight. Currently it is 44 out. Going to the gym, gas up the wife's car and stop by the auto parts store. Hope to be home by 10:30 this morning. I believe we are going to ride around the city to look at all the house decorating winners this evening. Not much else planned.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! 15* this morning. Still have pipes, got to 37* in the greenhouse and 39* in the garage for plants - not ideal, but not much I can do about it. Supposed to be a few degrees warmer overnight tonight. Sunny and up to 19* at the moment. Fireplace did it's job! Wish I could have one in the sunroom, with the mini-split heat pump!

Watching the Wyoming DOT cams the last couple of days...........hope our friends there are just staying home and warm. The -42º in Casper was a new record and I'm sure that where I used to live on the side of Casper mountain, the wind is blowing as well. I put a cast iron grate in my basement wood stove - and used lumps of coal to help out the wood.

Do the Tacos start well in that sort of weather? Block and battery heaters required I would guess .........

My wife wants to go visit the grandkids in Deadwood next month. To get there we go through Rawlins and Casper. January driving through remote Wyoming does not thrill me like it used to.

    Morning Folks. :hattip:
A tab bit chilly out here. Had rain mixed with sleet for about 5 minutes with the wind gusting to 50. As fast as it came in, it stopped and the winds dropped to 1 to 21 MPH and the temp is at 44. :annoyed:.
Hope everyone stays safe and if you do go out, be careful

    afternoon all:

Rained here most of the morning, got a little windy, and now it's snowing with only a slight breeze. The lights flickered a couple of times, then lost power for less than a minute, and all is well so far!
:fingerscrossed: that the power doesn't go off for at least 4hrs., the plumb puddings are on the stove steaming, that will guarantee that I get a big tray of Christmas cookies. :cookiemonster:  :hungry:
I would probably get the cookies anyway, but my fishing buddy and his dad like the plumb pudding, it's a good trade off.
HUMMM, maybe could give my fishing buddies GF a mold to make them, she likes to cook and bake, then maybe I could get cookies and a plumb pudding for Christmas. :D

Was sunny and 50deg 10 min ago.
We're on the edge of the front right now with heavy rain minutes away and a flash freeze in a couple of hours.

Been busy and I’m late getting back to this. Couple years ago I used a long piece of ice maker tubing as a test and was able to thread enough rubbing into the filler neck that I was sure the end must be in the tank. When I pulled it out the end was wet with gas so I just assumed it would work. If not then I guess plan B would be to disconnect the fuel line under the hood and let the fuel pump pump it out. Easy enough to get to, it’s right above the driver’s fender well on the 1st gen 2.7.

Got a cool new sign for above my work bench - an Old Guys Rule sign. I liked it because the truck a red 1956 Ford is just like my dad’s which I learned to drive on….it had no power anything. No power brakes or steering, no heater, no radio. It had a 3 speed manual tranny. Wish I still had that truck.
Weather here is cloudy and foggy. High temps in the low 50’s. Our storms are coming in early next week, they are lined up out in the pacific. Have zero planned today, zero honey do’s. Good day to catch up on my reading and maybe a nap with a cat on the lap.
