In Chicago you know it's properly snowing when they put the plows on the garbage truck fleet.

Found the manual and also saw the red flashing LED through the view window. The paper manual only says to call for service for any red flashing lights. A ggole search found a support page for the unit I have which says this for 7 flashes:

CODE: 7 RED FLASHES
RESULT: This fault code indicates that the flame could not be established. This no-light condition occurred 3 times (2 retries) during the call for heat before locking out.
FIX: Low gas pressure, faulty gas valve, dirty or faulty flame sensor, faulty hot surface ignitor or burner problem may cause this. The furnace will lock out for one hour and then restart.

I'm wondering if there could be an issue with the gas meter outside, Maybe it's frozen.

That sucks! I seem to remember ours doing something similar at the old house. Since it mentioned gas stuff, I punted and had the HVAC dudes fix it…

 

It could be, any of the neighbors having a similar problem?

 

Yeahhh cutting after bulking isn't always the most fun hahaha. Do you do meal prep or anything like that to manage it?

 

I'm not sure, my meter hasn't frozen in the negatives before, so I can't imagine with only 30* yours would. I'd probably clean the flame sensor if I could verify gas flow, do you have another gas appliance like a dryer or something to see if it lights?

 

Nope haha! Not yet. After the holidays, I think that will be the only option. My only hope is that maybe this will be the last long, horrible, depressing, ‘cut’. If I can get to a place that’s easier to maintain, I can maybe just make small changes every few months at that point. That goal has been elusive for me my entire adult life, though haha.

During this strength phase, the only thing I do consistently is some whey isolate protein to make sure I’m hitting my protein numbers. Beyond that, it’s all been pretty much eat what’s around

 

Yeah, Streets and San is practically a small army. Between dump trucks, garbage trucks, and fleet pickups, they can mobilize around 300 plows when needed.

In the summer, they'll use the plow trucks as barricades around special events.

 

Are you meal prepping and if so, is it working well for you?

 

Yeah, seems unlikely to me that it is the meter. I talked with 2 neighbors who are not having issues. I'm guessing it's something internal to the furnace. My other gas appliance is the dead water heater.

 

That's the Gen X way.
