Hopefully y’all’s families get to feeling better soon. We got the crawler back up and running. The little one is pretty good with it.

Good ol frida! Our kids now love that thing. They actually ask for it. Man we’ve had some nasty stuff up in that thing. One time it was bad enough I actually tasted it… I almost threw up in that one.

Also would anyone want a really good dog? He’s been a stray that we’ve been “co-parenting” with a few of our neighbors for a few months. Great with kids, great with dogs and cats, still hasn’t figured out that chickens don’t like being chased, but he’s learning. We’re working on fence training and he can now wear a collar without freaking out. He would need some actual work to get comfortable in the house I had to catch him and pick him up to even get him in the garage so he didn’t freeze tonight. He’s really uneasy about being under a roof F9C9B88C-1FA6-4931-83E2-217D4EDEDA1C.jpg

Ours started that way. Took both of us to get the job done. I don’t know what had to happen but now they ask for it anytime they want to not go to bed or they have a runny nose.

Not here but I have a very poorly insulated sunroom and my downstairs was 54 degrees this morning. Have it at about 60 now. Have the wood fireplace kicking!!!

yep . Got 1 toilet that's froze up pipes on it so that means I got to get under the house and heat the pipe to get it flowing again so it'll fill the tank on it

The neighbor does. I dripped his outdoor hose bibs but they still froze up. All the inside water runs fine though.

edit: nvm. One of mine froze up now. Well damnit.

Duke Energy: Alert! The extremely low temperatures & high energy demand continue to place an unusual strain on the energy grid. Please consider powering down all nonessential electric devices and delaying unnecessary energy use for the next 24-48 hours to help avoid rotating outages in the early morning hours tomorrow and Monday. We understand this is a difficult ask given both the holidays and the cold temps and we are grateful for your efforts. Learn more about how we respond to these grid emergencies and how you can help at duk.us/32. Thank you for your cooperation. Text stop to cancel.

What the heck Duke, pretty sure it was colder last night. Hope everybody is staying warm! Definitely forgot to undo the hose real and it’s all frozen including the bib. I can see the pipe in the basement and everything is good so far.

We lost power two nights ago and it was out for a night and a day. It got down to 8. The heating unit still has not been able to get the house warm.

    Blankets, cuddly dogs, and Netflix.

    Merry Christmas!

She did good. Flying Tiger socks, a really nice watch box, couple of cigars. Not pictured, a cocktail smoker and stirring glass.
