    Happy Birthday @Casper66.

7* here. Daughter’s house lost power so they brought our granddaughter and stayed here last night.
After not seeing them for 3 weeks, this has been so great. The6 have power back but may stay tonight too. Of course, this is their first Christmas with a baby, so they should probably have Christmas morning at home. Just seems right.

While the wind blew most of our snow out of the yard, the city plows managed to plug up the end of our driveway last night. Was going to go out and snowblow it open after I showered this morning. Finished getting ready only to discover my wife had already run the snowblower. Then she proceeded to get my Tacoma stuck in the drift behind it in the driveway. Watched one, lonely rear wheel spinning for a couple of minutes then went out and showed her how to (carefully) rock a vehicle out of drift. Texas girls...yeesh. It's damned cold here, though. And the wind is something else.

Next time you get stuck use your E- brake and engage the brake about 5 clicks or a quarter engaged . Then with tapping the brake pedal and applying throttle slowly accelerate and your truck will easily walk out of anything you've been stuck in

This works on any open differential or LSD , What an open diff or LSD will normally apply power only to the tire with the least amount of traction . In turn this will leave you stuck and going no where

This e brake trick is called a poor man's posi and is well known in the off road community and works awesome getting down the trail with ease

Now with newer vehicles with abs or traction control and with open diffs . Just by applying light but steady brake pressure will fool the abs / traction control and apply more torque / power to the tires with the least amount of traction
