I started the work in a Pinto. On the way to the hospital, my parents stopped off at a friend’s house to drop off my siblings and right there in the passenger seat, my father delivered me. Pinto to Tacoma for me as of now

That’s awesome for him! The way the used market is I think it’s a smart move. They got 07 civics with over 100k for 10grand here. It ain’t like when I was a kid you could find a cheap S10 all day long. Plus, it’ll be reliable which is what you want. People are quick to tell others what to do with their money and property. Do what you want and to hell with them.

The title of this thread misled me.
I was expecting to see a pic of your kid walking into a brothel giving you a thumbs up with a huge grin on his face.
He's still smiling though, good for him.

It’s the internet. People will give their opinions and thoughts without a care because they can. Lol I’m sure the kid is ecstatic. I got to drive an 05 Colorado through high school. Worked well for throwing the hockey bags in the back for my brother and I.

Plenty of people on this forum who don’t have a Tacoma anymore. Tons of info in here for when he or you want to tinker on it.

My first vehicle back in 1983 was a 73 Datsun pickup. I learned how to drive a manual with that old points and carburetor mobil…

I’ll take the intake cover when part-out day arrives…

its hard to justify the price for used when new can be had for a few k more and if financing a better rate.

Don't sweat it. A 16-year-old in a brand-new Tacoma will be a beater before you know it.

Ha! My first car had to have a wood board under the driver's feet or they got wet in the rain, and it would occasionally shift from drive to neutral on its own.

This post contrasts my upbringing and world view. It makes me angry to no end and I will complain about it here.
