McNeil 3” for these front and rear, it’s their conversion kit so they only offer 3”. I wish it was at least 1 more inch but it’s all good.

So they supply the fenders and hood and you have to buy the lights and grille? I'm sure there are other things also.

It worked so I'm happy. I'm not too worried about it, the Allen head didn't have too much debris in it plus it's behind an RCI. I have a Lexus plug to replace it but I didn't have it with me when I did the fluid swap.

Sits flush to top of cab w/DIY roof tracks w/modified 84" x 50" ebay roof rack ( I cut it to 72") sleeping platform and cabinets 32-in LED light bar behind the grill. The very first mod I did on my #2015 #tacoma #tacomaaccesscab was a dog platform. I did not want to take out the jump seats. Think grandkid car seats. So, after scouring the interwebs, I did this. My first 2 attempts were with Masonite, but I never quite got the platform to fit exactly right. This one does.

Here's a link to my YouTube video showing the basic concept and end result: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5b-hZMlCBiI

    1. I removed the plastic console between the jump seats. 1/4" plywood cut to fit. 48" long and 19" wide behind the passenger seat tapering to 15" behind the driver seat.

1.a. I sanded the rough edges with an orbital hand sander.

    2. I used a DeWalt DWST17807j tool box for passenger side support. #Bonus. I was able to put a bunch of mechanics tools in it. ***this keeps the passenger seat from going back all the way. I am ok with that because I am the driver. :) ***

    3. the Drivers side has a soft DeWalt tool bag I got as an accessory for buying one of their tools. *** The driver seat goes all the way back and reclines unimpeded.***

    4. I bought one 35"x22"x3" dog bed that fits nicely on the passenger side and another 30"x20"x3" dog bed.

    5. I had to cut the one behind the driver seat for length. I took the foam out first and cut only the foam. I rezipped it and folded the excess cover under the bed and put in place.

    6. Add Dax the Wonder Dog!

Future mod?? I may cut an exact replica of this using another piece of quarter inch ply, then separate them with a piece of "1 by" just enough to be able to slide a piece of 1x12 the length of the platform. I could then slide out the 1x12 and use it as a walkway to make it easier for Daxie boi to get in and out. For now Dax has a vertical jump of about 13', so he's not having too much trouble getting in or out. It took him a bit to get used to it though. #2015ToyotaTacoma #dogbed #Tacoma #TacomaWorld #overland

Drove to Basil's Garage in San Diego to have my new GoFastCampers platform camper installed on my 2007 Tacoma.

It's really sleek and lightweight for how sturdy and strong it is, and it's all made here in the USA. The quality is top notch. I cannot recommend it enough.

In other news, my clear coat is peeling off at an alarming rate on my hood and roof. See below.

I'm all ears for recommendations. Not within budget for the truck to be professionally repainted. I do have 2-part paint in the correct color, as well as clear coat on hand in the garage. I wouldn't know what I'm doing but I suppose the hood and roof couldn't look worse than they already do if I tried DIY repaint?
Tried using light pressure with a scotch brite pad on the peeling clear coat to try and stop or delay the flaking but that doesn't seem to be helping.

These look fantastic. What material is used, and where did you source? McMaster?

If it were me I’d start with the hood. Remove it, Strip it, Prep, prime, paint and clear. Then you can decide if you have enough confidence to tackle the roof.

The GFC looks great! I have not had the opportunity to look at the V2 but I'm sure it's just as good as the V1 after they addressed the hinge issue. Congrats!

The paint issue sucks. Unfortunately it's a known issue with these trucks. I've been curious to know how well the Duplicolor perfect match paint matches factory. The hood would be a good test. Keep us posted!

    Not today, but recently:
    Duralast Gold 27F battery
Falken Wildpeak AT3W, 265/75-16, NOT E-rated. These things rock in the snow and have excellent road manners. Now, we'll see how they hold up. They look fantastic on the truck. Coming from a Michelin Defender (which is an excellent tire), these change the entire look of the truck.

Found this bed cap/camper on FB marketplace for 60$. Came off a gen 1 6ft bed Tacoma and went onto my 2015 perfectly. Bit of insulating and weather stripping to be applied to keep our the dust and weather.

My hood was worse than yours and the roof was getting worse every day. I looked at numerous options and then got several quotes from local quality shops. I had the hood and roof professionally done for $980 and couldn't be happier. Pro wraps were more expensive and they still had to strip, sand and prime to achieve a good finished appearance. Shop had my truck 3 days. I am mechanical but not a body guy. So glad I had it done. I did buy new roof drip moldings too for an extra $120.

I was able to source ABS plastic sheets from a local plastic supplier for like $14 for a 4'x8' sheet.
