Took some pictures tonight for the curious. The "wheels" were not "moving" while the pictures were taken.

Hybrid in Park, motor not running


Hybrid in Drive, motor running. Yes, gas motor running. Vehicle not moving, foot on brake.

Hope that helps to show - my car doesn't know what's going on with itself, hybrid battery wise. Usually when the gas motor is running the arrows will show it supplying the front wheels &/or the hybrid battery pack. Tonight it didn't know the gas motor was running.
My car will display full green - 100% battery charge often.
If you go down a long hill, it will sound like it's over-revving.
if you stop at the bottom of said long hill (red light), ~30% of the time it will show full green, however it will start the gas motor to charge the battery pack, then shut off as it's full, then restart the gas motor to charge the battery pack, then shut off, then on, then off, then on, then off.... It knows its full but it also thinks it's empty.

There is some computer to the 2007 Prius that knows battery status & commands the gas motor to come on or not. That computer is shot.
If anyone has an idea which part that is LMK. It's such an uncommon problem I feel pretty sure a junkyard unit would be logical replacement.

Just don't know anyone that knows which part it is. Dealer was beyond useless & just plain wrong.

Have verified voltage of each hybrid cell individually. Have changed all modules attached to the hybrid pack. No change.

Sometimes I have 4 warning lights. Sometimes 2 of them turn off. Sometimes (rarely) the dash clears & all the warning lights turn off.

The hybrid control module is next to the engine ECU, behind the glove box. H is hybrid control, E is engine computer. Have you checked for any codes? This looks like a warning light to me.

Well fuck me. Tacoma wouldn’t start after sitting for 2 days. New battery and alternator this summer… Hope its not a mouse in the harness.
