You can turn abs off? o_O

They're going for cheap. Other than the first run of steel bumpers/sliders/skids, SOS armor is trash

All I've found with the abs system in tacomas are from early 2nd gens, my 05 and 08 specifically. These are the only vehicle I've found where when 1 brake line fails near the wheels the pedal becomes utterly useless like i lost all braking. Must have something to do with the abs module mounted on the passenger fender, i thought front and rear were supposed to be segmented.

If you have a torn ABS cable, then of course it doesn't work right. Can't blame the factory system if yours is broken.

And yes, second and third round SOS armor is trash. The recovery points pull the bumpers clean down and bend with the lightest of loads. They're also not consistent whatsoever. You could get two bumpers 2 months apart and all of the mounting holes are in different spots and the light holes for fog lights are different shapes. Ever since the original owner cheated on his wife and all of his first round welders and machinists left. He never could get good help again. They did a good job of burning his name in the industry. Guy was a total scumbag.

The mod. Yes, but the way it was talked about it sounded like it was a factory button which didn't make sense. Hence me asking.

Because you're the one who said you turned your ABS off. Lol

They are separate. If your pedal goes dead after losing one of your rears that's not a good sign. Means you've got an opening elsewhere in your system as well. Or your master cylinders of the process of giving up the ghost. Or you've got blockages on both the fronts and rears and you just don't notice when they're all working right.

I'm gonna have to agree with Timm on this one. The earlier SOS stuff was good, got the skids and sliders, but after he lost all his people because he's a dumbass the quality took a huge nose dive. Heard nothing but bad things after everything went down
I've thought about doing that mod to the pig
