That's a horrible idea. What time?
I see one on the commute now and then. Ugly, expensive, yet i like some of what they do.

The expensive part is one of the things I can't get behind. I understand that there is R&D costs they are trying to make up for, new tech costs more, blah, blah. Until the costs come down to less-than astronomical levels (IMO) and range goes up significantly, I really don't see these electric vehicles being adopted by the masses. Sorry, mini-rant over.

I’ve never looked into at what they do. Just know they’re big on price and ugly.

I happen to agree. If the cost wasn't a consideration, I'd think about it. And range is almost laughable. The lightning only has about 200 miles under optimal conditions.

Anyone had any success tracking down the Harbor Freight off-road jack?

I've been trying to get one and it's proving impossible. Best I could do was pre-order one locally. HFs in-stock thing sucks. Drove all the way to Fredericksburg because it said they had limited stock and they tell me they have one and it's for their display.

Just FYi if you're trying to grab one ....

It's not like I'm in a hurry for it. They didn't give me a time frame. Possibly next month sometime.

Took the Wife by the Chinese tool store (she laughed). They don’t even have a display for it.

Not surprised. They had a tag for the cashier to scan for pre-order at my local joint. That was it. I'm beginning to think that no one has even gotten one; other than for a display. It's not even on their desktop site. Just the mobile site. And I only know it exists from the YouTube channels I watch. I'll just keep waiting until the one I ordered shows.

Drove down there today to pick up an item that was supposedly in stock, at least according to the website. Zero items in the store.

A little insight to online inventories from a guy who's spent too much time in retail. Website inventories are generally 24 hours behind, some less. Most big stores like Walmart update at midnight, or overnight, when the delivery trucks inventory is "accepted" into the stores inventory. Add to that that a lot of stores continuously stock throughout the day. And that's the bigger operations. HF probably updates around midnight, so the website will most likely be behind the actual store inventory. If the inventory is correct to begin with. Best bet is to call ahead, talk to the store and verify the inventory. If they have it, try to buy it online. Then go get it. Most of the times I've done this as a customer, the store personnel stayed on the phone while I made the purchase and I gave them the confirmation #. Not much fun, doesn't always work, but saves the headache of driving home disappointed.

Wifey says I need to put that thing, back on the truck.

    Me: What thing?

Her: That thing on the back, so I can find the truck in a parking lot.

    Me: The softopper?

    Her: Whatever it called, yes.

Me: OK. I took it off a few months ago and the truck does look naked with out it. Do need to wash it. Dang topper is filthy.
