    Merry Christmas everyone!
Not sure what this white stuff is…
Thought it would be fine because it was warm inside until the power went out for a day. Lots of fire wood and bundling up in front of the fireplace. (Cape Girardeau, Mo.)
Had a low of -6 one night, I don’t miss this weather at all!

Yep! I grew up in St. Louis and my wife’s mother grew up in Cape. We’re visiting her grandfather for the holidays.
Made the drive in 1 day this time. 900 miles and 15 hours

We would do that going from Mississippi to Pennsylvania. 935 miles and we could do it in about 12 hours depending on traffic. :anonymous:

Now when I moved back to PA it took us 17 hours with me driving a 16' Penskee truck and car hauler. That was a terrible trip...

It was a pretty good trip only a few dead stops on the interstate. Traveling with a 5 & 8 year old makes for a longer trip, but overall they’re real troopers when it comes to road trips.
I was enjoying finally not hauling a camper or trailer on this trip!

    Merry Christmas, everyone! :santa2:

Been snowing a fair bit of the day here again. It's supposed to stop around 7 then the shoveling crew can go attack it.

I'm planning on getting some of the snow off of the roof later this week, probably Wednesday when it isn't supposed to be so stinkin' cold out.

Edit: And to continue my streak, I got my vacation time back for Friday because campus closed.

Man....legos, they are one of my favorites. We have a friend that when we asked, he requested star wars legos. So we bought a grown man legos lol. Couple years ago dad gave me his erector set from his childhood and wife got me a set from the antique store...i never had one growing up, so it was cool to fulfill that want.
We dont have kids but my sis has 3. They are down in Oregon.. i know what ya mean about the smiles. Nephew got an electric guitar this year and i got to watch a video of him playing..priceless. He is a troubled kid and has spent the last year at a rehab(behavior not drug) joint in nowhere washington. His dad is a sgt with portland pd which is rough on both of them. It was good to see him jammin and smiling the whole time..kid plays the mandolin too.

Get some alpaca sox. Awesome in winter. Just as good in summer. Don't take my word. Research them.
