After a few emails to Primary Arms, it turns out their Prism 5X scope does fit on a carry handle. Just take off the picatinny adapter and it has an ACOG like footprint. So I ordered it last night. Free shipping and $49 worth of "bonus bucks" to use on a future order.

The non glorious gun related stuff. Been cleaning guns during this storm. Made a pot of coffee and sat down at the gun table. Performed 2 levels depending on usage.

1. Full strip and cleaning of most heavily used ones. AR's, pistols, etc.

2. Quick lube and refresh of light oil coating on all the hunting rifles & shotguns that haven't seen a lot of use. Try to do this at least annually.

And recharged all the desiccant boxes in the safes/cabinets. I use these.

 

Anyone have knowledge on winchester model 1300 pump action shotgun? Trying to help a buddy out with his issue.

The gun will cycled as should if you don't fire off a round. The gun is able to cycle the round loaded in the chamber and 2 from the magazine well without issue. But if he fire the round from the chamber, the pump action slide handle will not cycle. The slide handle/forearm will move approximately 1 to 2 inches back and get stuck. You will have to either 1) grab the forearm and slammed the butt stock to the ground to eject the spent shell (don't work all the time) or 2) disassemble the gun to remove the spent shell.

All internal metal parts been dipped in cleaning solution without resolving the issue. He bought the gun used last year and worked flawlessly up until last week.

Any advice with be appreciated. TIA
