Lunar Rock Gen III Thread

Flying in to pick up my new LR tomorrow morning and the dealer sent me pictures of the truck with the Trail Edition wheels I had put on for my winter tires. Less than 24 hours and I'm very excited!

 

Congrats and very nice truck. Did you upsize the tires? Are those 265/75R16?

I did, I went up to 265/75R16s on some Toyo ATIIIs.

 

Nice truck. LED lights with a chrome rear bumper seems rare.

 

Are they LT or P? They look nice and beefy

 

Thanks, not a huge fan of the chrome rear. I'll probably get replacement caps fairly early into owning it.

LTs they had no Ps that would be available by the time I got down to the lower 48 and needed winters before the drive back to AK. I have LTs on my 2011 and don't mind them much for a winter tire.

 

Bumper caps for you are cheaper than oem led headlights for me (Canada)

I ran E load ko2’s on my 2nd Gen and they weren’t bad. Ran them at 20-25psi on non highway driving for about a month and they rode great without any weird wear patterns. Usually ran them in the low 30’s for psi and no issues.

 

the caps look pretty nice, a new rear bumper isn’t too pricey either

 

Just go high clearance from the get go!

 

LR with the Trail Edition wheels looks nice. Safe travels back to AK.

Hello Lunar Rock fans,

My current setup with gray F5's - 16x8; 0 offset wrapped in 265/75/r16 Wildpeaks.

Coming from a 1st gen 2wd colorado WT and a prius for my daily, pretty damn happy with the truck overall.

 

Looking good. I have a set of 16x8 +1 and I’ll be mounting the same tires. Looks like the tires sit flush with the fenders.
