Looking to put my Dobinson's kit where it belongs. I have some tools, but would like possible air tools/lift/garage if anyone might be willing for a build assist?

    Rear-leafs/shocks. May get done sooner.
    Front-UCA/shocks/spring assembly; diff drop.

Southwest Indy, but obviously could drive within reason. Hoping to knock it out in a day...but yeah....Fri-Mon are best days between work and life. Feel free to reach out if you might have time/tools etc. I can provide bbq and likely beer would be required.

Woohoo! Finally above 10F down here at the South end of the state. Hope the rest of you get there soon.

I need to replace the fan pulley bracket on my 95 3.4L but been stalling until weather warms a bit. I heat garage with wood only and 45F is about top temp I can get unless outside is above 30F. Should be good by Wed or Thursday.

Anyone know of a quality body/paint shop near Indy? There’s a camper shell I’m looking at for my 1st gen but I’d want to bring it somewhere to get it color matched. Thanks in advance

Curious the input. I contemplated wraps. I wanted some tint done too, and most were around 700 for ceramic. Seems ludicrous.

sheesh maybe I'll hold out for one that's already silver, they're just hard to come by around here. this is a green leer fiberglass shell in decent shape (from what I can tell) I found on fb marketplace

Well, I'd imagine paint is going to be around $1000. thats probably low, but who knows. I have a red cap on a grey truck. Wanted to get it matched, but everyone loves it...its kind of growing on me. If its less than $4-500 and in great shape, get it. worst case you flip it when you find a silver one? I'm not 100% attached to mine, so if a better one comes up, I'll swap.

I painted mine a few years ago and had about $200 in paint and supplies. I used middle of the road quality automotive paint.

I know you are not planning a DIY, but letting you know so you can gauge how much is labor when you get quotes.

Been running a stock 2020 TRD Off-Road up in Carmel since I bought the truck 1/2020. As the tires near the end of their life, would like to begin upgrading the truck for eventual pop up tent setup. Looking for a good shop to work with that has knowledge of all the ins and outs of putting together. Thanks.

Just checking in. I've had my '20 OR DCSB since fall and been lurking around these pages since then.

    I'm in Columbus.

    @Empty_Lord

Any update on the MR2? I remember you posted a parking lot video, but didn't know if you have it officially on the road yet.

A few months ago I saw on about 4 miles from my house. I started watching it and I don't think it has been moved. I may check up on it and get the story. I'd love to have one. Just not sure if I have the energy for another project. I think I may get rid of one of my 95 Tacos. If so, I will go by and see if they are in a selling mood.

Evansville, we got lucky. Almost all sleet and no freezing rain. Still going to be slick in the morning but at least no power outages.

Cross-posting from the Midwest forum ...

I'm looking for newbie off-roading recommendations in Central/Southern Indiana. I'd like to take my kids out this spring to see if off-roading interests them at all but I don't want to rattle their heads to hard on the first try. :p

Best two places that I know of are redbird state rec area
and badlands off-road park more north west central.

    https://www.in.gov/dnr/state-parks/parks-lakes/redbird-state-recreation-area/
    https://www.badlandsoffroad.com/

Redbird is fun but not as large, trails can get tight in some locations. I have only gone during the week and there is practically no one so its easy to have fun at your own pace downside is there are less people to help if you get stuck. cant speak to how busy they are on weekends but we came across a group of SxS's and a few jeeps. they have some rocks if you are into crawling but most are flat areas with piles of rocks. The rest are sort of tight trails and mud being mostly forested. The power line section is fun and definitely easy and is a great area to learn your rigs capabilities. There are a few dirtbike/4wheeler areas where SUVs cant go. No requirement for a marker flag

Badlands is gigantic and has tons of different things. Sand, Mud, Rocks, Hills, Trails pretty much everything. Again only gone on a week day but have heard it can get busy on weekends. if you go when its wet out be careful of some of the trail puddles they can get extra deep. Do a stick test before attempting some. one of the guys I wheel with almost sunk his 4runner in a puddle he didnt check. The sand areas are super fun to just rip through the trails are fun and a little more technical, the rock sections get even more technical. They have an SUV area where atv/SxS cant go and some dedicated atv/bike areas where SUVs cant go.

Overall both are super fun, badlands seemed to have more options which is great but you cant go wrong with either. I would suggest taking a friend along or posting up here to see if anyone wants to join you. Then you have a recovery buddy incase you get stuck. There is a guy near redbird who does recoveries but hes an hour drive away and will charge you. the front desk will give you their info if you want it when you enter. If you dont go with a friend get a d-ring hitch, some soft shackles, and a tow rope for yourself. People are more inclined to help you if you already have those things and are hooked up and just need a quick pull.
