local bike shop is sending out for a warranty rebuild at fox - needs full damper rebuke and lost some nitrogen.
Luckily it’s under warranty, but still a pain in the rear having the bike out of service.

This is why you need a quiver of bikes, the hard tail, the trail bike, the enduro, a townie, a gravel grinder…

That's a real bummer. You could probably get everything from a hardware store, but I ordered one of these a couple years ago and have used it a few times. Great thing to have in your repair box just in case, or something like it

Got some new XT brakes to put on. Looks like the parts kit included a new barb but im not seeing an olive. Shouldn’t there be one? Spoiler, this is the first time I’ve installed new brakes myself so possibly a dumb question.

Front caliper/hose/parts pack and rear lever. Front lever is out of pic.

Yes, I've ordered several from them several times this year, very quick shipping, and 1 year return.

Took 2022 off from the bike involuntarily. Had a knee surgery. In early summer so that messed up riding season out in reno tahoe area.

I’m gonna get back on the bike in 23 and put up with whatever pain or discomfort there is. Gotta get that part of my life back.

Kicked off the stoke with doing some cardio at the gym last couple weeks. Usually not part of my normal routine.

    40839936-86D9-4166-A86C-09D68B0C5B93.jpg

Snagged a new lid yesterday. Half off. My old specialized helmet didn’t have MIPS and was more of a roadie helmet.

Spring break I’m thinking about st George/Zion trip. Gonna start getting the bike dialed and touched up. Neglected it last year and a half ish to be honest.

    that’s the update. Happy trails

Where's this at? Looks like North Foothills near La Luz TH? Ride trails or grind up the road?

Moved back to Burque this summer. Been busy with life, finally cruising through the TW back catalog.
I ride MTB mostly and road/grav (slowly). Would love to tag up.

Yep, right at the base of tram and water tanks. I don’t ride north foothills often, as i live in rio rancho and ride placitas since it’s 5-10 minutes from home. But I’m game for riding MTB or gravel, i have road too! And i ride daily.

Although, it Might be a few weeks until I can ride outside again - had a mishap with a knife this weekend cooking and my thumb is in bad shape. Hoping two weeks but MTB might be a little longer.

Let me know though when you are planning some rides.

I had to take '09-'13 off for knee surgeries, and feel ya but I back now and as much as taking the time off sux, it's worth it to heal all the way.
