They did stop the color AG after 2022, mine was built @ the end of July and delivered 9/23/2022. Probably one of the last Army Green's to go out. That was my first color choice so I was really happy to get it, my #1 and #2 requirements were manual transmission and access cab.

Here's the pic the dealer sent me the day it arrived!

If my garage was bigger, I would have gone Tundra.

For Taco, just get the one that has the hard to replace stuff. Anyone can put seat-covers on but a locker/LEDs are more difficult (but also not impossible).

My kids are 5'10 and 6'. They will not ride in the back seat. So it'll be good until they're older but you'll be looking for something else.

Love how everyone is telling you to buy what they want instead of looking at what you want.

That’s how it’s supposed to go though! It’s a “if I could do it again, I’d do this” method.

Right… I appreciate that people are trying to offer advice, but now so many people have been trying to tell me no. Cmon guys.

My mind is already made up. We’re going to have more vehicles, it’s going to be primarily mine, and big families used to do just fine in smaller vehicles. Tundra is out of my price range and I’m not going to drive a van.

Sorry to hear that it sounds like you purchased the wrong truck for you.

That's surprising to hear about the seats. We bought my wife a 2021 Corolla XSE in October 2020. The XSE has what is likely the same "leather" type material seats in the new Tacomas and they have held up FANTASTIC and still look new after 26k miles. We are empty nesters and therefor not kids at home but I have not even put any kind of conditioner on the seats.

The single biggest thing that you want (I did too) that is extremely difficult to add is the BSM. That's why you would need the advanced tech package, and it comes with bunches of other stuff as well.

The criticism of the bird's eye camera being low resolution is valid, but if you've never had it in a vehicle before, it's super nifty. Speaking from experience. It's handy to have, even low res, and because I'm not spoiled with the latest greatest tech from other manufacturers I can appreciate it as the tool it is. It wasn't something I was after but, now that I've had it, I do quite enjoy it.

I don't think you can get LED headlights on a SR5.

Sounds like you'll want a double cab long bed TRD Off-Road.

    I’m sorry, what’s BSM?
The bird’s eye camera does sound super cool! I’ve definitely never even been in a vehicle that has that.

Better to have extra bed space not used instead of not enough bed space for whatever you haul. If you have extra bed space not used you can put something like a tool box, or you won't feel as bad having something like a Retrax bed cover canister taking up space.

BSM stands for blind spot monitoring.

One thing to consider with the premium package leather seats is the sunroof. I was dead set on leather seats, but being 6’4”, caused my head to rub the lowered headliner due to the sunroof. This forced me out of that package and I had to settle. Just something to consider if you’re a tall guy

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
I’ve driven from British Columbia down to Monterey, CA with my teenagers in the back seat, and I’ve driven from Montana to BC with my buddies in the back seat after a mountain bike road trip. Is it perfect - No but it’s not terrible. If it’s just for trips in the city and they complain time to toughen up haha!
Baby seats are a pain though. That would suck
