My standard, Everything I own must be drivable on the street.

If I wanted to axle swap it, i wouldn't have bought an 80 honestly. I would have bought a single cab Tacoma.

Also, this is an 80 series meme, 100 percent.

If you thought a tacoma was slow, wait till you hear about the 2 minute 0-60 time on this 5.5k lb beast

You clearly have never driven a 1981 VW Rabbit diesel.

    Yeah, supercharger and turbo.

But the best add on imo would be an LS swap.

It does have a "Power" button on it though. Which makes it noticeably better to drive. So much so that I pretty much leave it on the entire time

I don’t know much about the engine that came in it. It’s a straight six with a cast iron block right?

A 4.5 liter! I just found some turbo manifolds for it. That’s the route I’d go

So far the list is :

-White knuckle 80 series sliders with top plate
    -EIMKeith radius arms lowering brackets
-Dobinson Flexy LT kit 3 or 4 inches (haven't decided on if I want bypasses or not, that's a 2k price difference)
    -Marlin Crawler steering upgrade
-Marlin crawler T case gear reduction 3:1
    -Yukon Gears
-4x4labs rear bumper with swing out
Then 37s probably on method trail series in a 17
    - And I'm gonna have to change out the front bumper, the previous owner bought the non winch capable ARB LC bumper (who the hell does this, it's like 200 bucks price difference)

Yeah, brake lines and extended bumps
    And
Some lights. But most importantly the vehicle needs to be baselined and some things need to be fixed

    Meh, and Meh.

It's a landcruiser. It wont ever get you anywhere fast. It's a 6000lb vehicle.

It has a 9:1 compression ratio. That’s a pretty good number for boosting

This has to do with off-road viability. 37-inch tires are heavy. Can't even imagine what that'll be like around town. Gonna need a flagman to stop traffic for you to pull out of the Piggly Wiggly parking lot.

I gotta believe that bumper can be modified to put in a winch tray.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I agree with Mark. The way those things are built I'd look at ways to modify it for a winch tray before replacing it.
