Recommendations for plugging holes in bed?

Leave it alone so the bed can drain, should be 3 factory holes against the headboard.

Or drill them out to 3/4 so they wont plug up with game fur

 

Feel like perhaps not everyone is realizing that this is a 14+ month old thread that got randomly revived, and the OP has not been back since post number one…

So, to recap:
-Maybe not all Tacomas have bed drain holes but most apparently do
-The drain holes work reasonably well, particularly in coordination with a bed mat and the raised grooves, but they can get clogged sometimes
-If your bed is uncovered, it’s counterproductive to plug the holes, but if it’s covered, plugging the holes may be beneficial
-There are lots of cheap ways to plug the holes
-Vienna sausages are delicious

I take it for granted that members here review post start dates and make a determination to reply.

Subject matter threads are relevant at any time...I believe.

I'm always finding issues that are near/dear to me so I reply.

I’m simply chuckling at what is mostly a rehash of all of the identical points on either side of each argument that were made waaay back in 2021. They must have been good points to be so equally valid a year later.

I for one am thankful to have the holes, it makes it easy to corral sand into the back of the bed when washing the truck, where I can mostly get it to go down the holes. I highly doubt undercarriage / frame corrosion is significantly impacted by the drain holes. If so, we’d all better stop driving in the rain because…puddles and such.

No harm is chuckling about the activities here...that's for sure.

PS, something else for you to ponder. Tacoma's don't have struts. Regardless of words people use or print in catalogs.
