I dont let people borrow/drive my truck. Period. If they do need me to help move, I now have an excuse to tell them to rent a moving truck since the bed is too small. :D

A Tacoma is pretty much the ultimate put option on account of the capacity, low cost of ownership, and versatility. The economy has gone kaput and is going to stay there, I will likely drop out next semester, and my savings will only last for about 3-5 years.

If worst came to worst, I could boondock by either sleeping in the bed of the truck, or live out of a travel trailer with a generator. It would also allow me to move somewhere should the need arise without paying an extravagant fee for movers or having to discard everything.

yeah im actually getting to the point of trying to source a cab over for my util trailer (which is made out of a 75 dodge shortbed) ... first priority is new leafs for it.

That may not last too long. Also, I would advise putting the auto + trailer + whatever else into a trust with a relative as an executor. One can always put a few liens on the property to prevent an unauthorised sale. That will make the property untouchable for all intents and purposes.

cause like... 90% of truck owners, I'm stupid and somehow think I'll use the bed of the truck worth owning a truck. I use mine a lot more than anyone I know, which means, I have used it.

My brother always needs my help moving things and it drives me nuts sometimes because he can borrow my truck anytime he wants, but he refuses to learn to drive a manual.
