Stop being holier than thou. I was probably 16 when I did it, not 60. Was it petty? Yes. Would I do it now? Certainly not. And I didn't damage their car or destroy their tires, I cut the valves. They were out maybe $2 for stems, the hassle of having to get daddy to call the tire shop, and a couple of hours of inconvenience.

As an aside, I see you live in SoCal. Where this happened it was -20 and there was ice everywhere. Think of how many elderly people fall and break their hips where you live; multiply it by 100 with ice and snow and I didn't really care if it was criminal, it was worth it at the time.

Holier than thou? lol it's still criminal to damage other people's property, which cutting off their valves qualifies as. If you were 16 i get it, still doesn't make it right. So you left them stranded in -20 degree weather with a convertible and 2 flat tires. What a gentleman you are. At least you know that their tow was free, judging by your assessment of what it cost them.

Don't really see how location or temps justify committing a crime. You clearly completely missed the point of my post, I guess I'm just thankful you've grown up since then.

Just enough to look kinda cool.
This thread hates bad parking a lot but we hate revenge damage twofold. Sympathy will be hard to come by here. We may excuse a sticker on the window or a note under the wiper but permanent damage and destruction of property are a big no no.

Wasting your breath. She forgot your existence the moment you walked away.

    But yes.

I don't doubt that you are correct. I probably wouldn't have said a word after checking for damage and finding none, but she decided to run her mouth a little which surprised me. Had that look like who does this guy think he is saying something to me..

Alright tally the votes Subaru’s fault or hilander next to it? Or are we marking this up to snow covering lines when they parked?

Both at fault, unless your snow statement is correct

Had the same thing happen to my van years ago. Same kind of a conversation with a mouth breathing woman (I think??????).
That's why I have 6" wide running boards on my truck. They stick way past the wheel wells and will take the damage from the door. They have scratches and other color paint on them now from where people flung doors carelessly. Now their damn doors can rust.

If I could have found 8" wide boards at the time, I would have bought them instead.

Here are two wonderful Washington residents that just set up their long term parking in where else, a Walmart parking lot.
The smaller one may be searching for the Tiger Tacoma.

The second one looks like a well kept coach, properly parked although it might be more courteous to take up 2 spots further away from the storefronts.

That first coach however looks like something out of a low budget creeper movie.:eek::eek:

I guess this isn't the worst I've ever seen but I was aggravated because the spots here are too small to get my doors open.
