If you ever decide to completely remove the unit (ie. In the unlikely event you don't like it), the mounting plate will come off cleanly by applying a steady moderate pressure in a downward angle. Do NOT try to rip the plate off too quickly as this may damage the factory plastic - it's tough, but only ABS (slightly weaker than the PC/ABS).

    Regards,
    Darren

Thanks for the inspiring words. We are working on new designs but we're honestly a little 'callenged' on a design concept for the Tundra. We will certainly investigate this further and keep you posted! :)

    crap bolted and welded together....
Love the look, one small suggestion..

Maybe throw the idea around to actually make it a powered unit. By that i mean wired instead of batteries, just a thought. But definitely like your company's hard work on this product. Looks super clean, functional and awesome looking.

Nice! The decision to go with a battery-only design was heavily weighted by the compelling argument that this product can be installed in less time than it will take most to read this reply.

The battery performance also supported our decision as we have been experiencing battery runs lasting over a year with moderate use. (Obviously, everyone will use the unit slightly differently - additionally, the red and amber LEDs draw more current and will be consumed slightly quicker than the blue, white, or green LEDs).

We are discussing future designs that may require a wired option or a rechargable configuration. We'll keep you posted.

    Regards,
    Darren LaFreniere

Nice idea! My concern is about removing the AC controls (and thus the radio/console). Does this prevent the removal of the climate controls?

I really like this and am on board for a group buy. I have been searching for something to serve this purpose. I was looking more the direction of the BMW styling, where the light comes from the area near the rear view mirror. Maybe that is another product you could look into as your buisiness developes. I would also like the option to direct wire. I want it to come on and off with the dash lights. But all in all it looks like a very clean, well designed product and look forward to getting one.

That's a pretty sweet concept. I'd love one but would want it hard-wired into the vehicle electrical system and tied into the dimmer.

I think this is a pretty neat design. well thought out, functional, looks cool...but, there is always a but, I would not pay more than 35-40 bucks. Simple DIY led mods can be done for under 10 bucks.

But overall I think you have a very neat product and I wish you the best of luck
