Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year fellow 2nd Gen owners. I just purchased a Gentex GHSHL4 rearview mirror to upgrade to homelink for my 2010 Tacoma. The auto dim work like normal but the homelink isn't powered. I also ordered a power wire with a pin to run power but I can't find a wiring diagram online to save my life. The 1st picture is the rear displaying the model number. The 2nd and 3rd are the 12 pin black connector coming from the rear of the mirror (the red wire goes in one of thr. The other picture is that of the white connector connecting to the overhead connector.
The black connector has 2 open ports and I don't know which opening is for the home link and I need to know the correct opening to place the wire. Also I need to know which wire is constant hot. Any help or a wiring diagram would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a DVM? You can find the hot that way.

Assuming you don’t own a VOM? Cheap enough on Amazon.

Unfortunately I don't have one. The biggest thing for me is locating the proper pin to install the wire. As far as power, I'm thinking it's the yellow wire.

Even that will work. Or spend a bit more and get more functions. Lots of HF stores in the Charlotte area.

There is no constant power going to the Acessory Meter plug, you could grab power from the White wire (Pin 1) at the map lights though. It comes from the DOME Fuse 7.5A and is hot at all times.

I'm going to use the map light to run power. I'll follow up after testing and completion

Everyone, I finally successfully installed the upgraded mirror and my homelink worked like a charm after initial programming. I give all the credit to Bob's Mirrors and I appreciate his patience in guiding me. Initially I was attempting to install in the wrong port on the actual Mirror and I felt like a idiot when I realized my error. All and all this modification is complete.
