Good case for comparison. I treat the FOB like my wallet...and I never want to lose that! lol

Each of us establish our own quirks/plans of action. We move forward with our intent and then stick to it.

What works for one may not work for another.

But debating one is better than the other...well, that creates what we have going on here in TW with the comparison.

    Haha yep! Useless feature IMO.

I can see it sort of working in a full size where you are more spaced apart.

Oh I've lost both over the course of a few days -
Locked my keys AND my wallet inside of a rental car return sitting on passenger seat in a bad 'hood in Oakland...
Then 2 days later dropped my wallet with $1,200 in it over a holiday weekend in an office complex -
Clean-up dude found the wallet and returned it intact - I treated him well even tho he insisted he wouldn't take a dime.

These are cues for me to get a new wallet when that starts to happen.

In the scenario where both sets of fobs were lost, it is going to cost you +towing. Pain in the ass to get CID code.
If you have 2nd fob, you can buy a fob for less than $20 and programs yourself if have access to techstream or a locksmith. The newer models may require a model specific fob.
Also, If the battery is drained in the fob, you still can start the engine.

Seriously? My wife and I are very different when it comes to what is comfortable for us; in the last 25 years we've only had 2 cars which didn't have dual (or triple) zone temperature control, and both of those cars were best driven alone.

We had dual climate on my 2003 Honda Pilot and also the ventilation control for the second row seating. The dual climate was never an issue but the second row vent control crapped out at about 10 years.

Wife has it on her 2017 Elantra and of course she doesn't pump up the heat so I don't feel it in her smaller sedan. (I drive both vehicles on weekends)

Even now when wife is with me in my Sport, it's not an issue when temps are changed on her side.

Of course, I usually sync them anyway when I'm driving without her.

In small cabins I just don't see the benefit. Now back seat peeps that want to set their temp.....I get it.

LOL, I'll lend you my wife for a few trips; you'll see the benefit then. :)

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
Same here. I like my feet toasty warm in the winter, my wife hates it. The dual climate control works great for us.

I hear ya as well. I'm not sure if the universe/karma gods need to humble me because I stated that I never lose anything.
This may sound off to some but I was born on Friday the 13th so knock on wood type of stuff always works the opposite for me. When I knock on wood I typically end up getting screwed. When people tell me to knock on wood and I don't listen to them, everything typically turns out fine:thumbsup:
Of course it's not an exact science :p
    YMMV:fistbump:

Agreed on everything said here, wasn't really trying to debate, I was just trying to say what works for me and my experiences with both

His question was about deciding between the trims. Are you his mouthpiece ?

    Cracked. LOL...

But it was the result of a post-surgery-incident involving a trip to the bathroom and a cat sprawled out on the floor and very intense pain medication after emergency surgery at 4:00 a.m. for appendicitis - trust me, you don't want to play the 'honey wake up, take me to the hospital' game....

Duel climate control is a joke in such a small interior setting for the Tacoma. We have it on our 4Runner limited and my Wife may use it once in a blue moon. I would not want it, don't care to have it nor fix it when it breaks.
