The near beers really scratch the itch without any of the negatives. there are definitely days where I feel like I'm missing out but it ain't so bad in the end

Yeah I've taken Templin (?) Hwy exit a few times off the Grapevine when there's bumper to bumper traffic on it, more of a rural road that goes out by Castaic lake and back to the freeway further down. There's the Old 5 highway down there too but can't drive on it , my dad and I hiked it a ways years ago. It's the old 5 before they built the actual 5 freeway however many decades back.

Sons of Anarchy actually filmed most of their motorcycle scenes on it, which is why the highway they were always on looked so shitty lol

Nooo, these roads are called something like 7N4 or some weird shit like that.

Service/fire roads, but really 95% of those roads are paved. Only the last part going off road to get onto the freeway isn't.

 

Oh damn yeah I'd love to find some service/fire roads that would work as a short cut, hell I'll take them just for the view lol.

I know Gorman and Miller Jeep Trail/Lockwood Canyon is back there but those trails go deep into Los Padres away from the highway

My rental house is setup with a heat pump rather than a furnace. Pretty sure something isn't right or it's just truly not made for weather under 32 degrees because it was running 24/7 during this recent freeze. Normally I'd just turn it to the lowest heat temp and layer up. But with my brother and housemate being here I just had to let it run. Electric bill is going to be wild.

 

Yea it took less than 10 minutes for it to become her toy lol

She is a stuffed animal in that you just want to snuggle up with her.

You aren't far off on the pronunciation that we know. The R isn't what we have heard. S-new-knee is how it should be pronounced. But because we know a lot of friends won't get that as it's unnatural to say as English speakers we just call her Zoo-knee. Wierd name but I prefer that for our animals. One of our dogs is named Venice which is really weird and took a while for me to get used to. But no one will ever have the same name at the dog park!
