    @Squeaky Penguin @Wulf v6 extended cab 4wd rear driveshafts?

    I can keep an eye out for them in the yard here. Unfortunately the diff-grabbers like to be lazy and cut the shafts instead of undoing the four bolts to disconnect them.

    Also 79-85 spares but I doubt you'll see em in a yard hahaha

    There was an aftermarket on CL for $100 that I tried to pick up several times but the guy did the whole "yes it's available no you can't have it dance" lol

    I have seen some old Pickups show up but I haven't checked them for drive shafts. I'll keep an eye out regardless.

    Do you know if 4cyl drive shafts are different from v6? I assume they are but I don't know for sure.

    I believe the flanges are all the same for that era. Length doesn't matter, it'll probably be cut into a square tube spare. If I measured right last time I could use a square tube in the front or rear if it's built to the right length

    Hrm. So a 4runner shaft would also work? Maybe even a front shaft? I see more 1st/2nd/3rd-gen 4runners than I do Tacomas and Pickups, and front drivetrain tends to be more intact than rear.

    Dealing with that now trying to sell the girlfriends Subaru.

    My favorite Craigslist contact so far: "I have 13000 cash" That's it. For an asking price of $16k.

    I just need the rear section of the rear driveshaft, which is the same for all extra cabs and double cabs regardless of engine/trans.

    Do you or @Wulf need spare CVS or spindles?

    There's an '04 in the "premium" section of the local yard. I want the diffs (4.30 ratio) but "premium" means they'll only sell complete axles--brake to brake. The price would make it worth parting out the CVS (OE green) and hubs/spindles if they're still there.

    I thought real hard about taking them last week but it was 10 degrees outside and I was there solo. Pulling axles would not have been a good time.

    I mean as far as bad offers go it isn't terrible :notsure: Usually they offer like half price, a puppy, and their prized DVD collection and you have to deliver

    I had a guy come knock on my front door asking to buy my 1st gen Tundra this summer. I dont think I'll ever sell something so easily at asking price again in my lifetime.

    oh it’s also a manual, so the test drives are going to be fun.

    “oh yeah, I know how to drive stick” - proceeds to smoke the clutch.
