Thank you for the info! I’ve shipped one before using advice on the forum but I had a box that was OEM

Having received an OEM box and also packed a box per Kevin's instructions, I feel like Kevin knows better than Toyota how to ship these things without damage. The way they are packaged seems more appropriate for crate transport than package carrier, even box-in-a-box. Ideally it'd be a more form fitting cardboard cutout solution or form fitting foam really, but taking time and stuffing a 12x12 gets that done and feels solid. In the sense that, if damage does occur, UPS really had to earn it.

It is worth taking a look at shipnerd, or my personal favorite pirateship. The prices you receive are SIGNIFICANTLY less than off-the-street.

Just packaged up an international item and locally the quotes were between $80 and $300, pirateship was $25

Yeah, I use pirateship for everything, the FBC account spends a lot on shipping...

Does it cost anything to join pirateship?

No, but you do need a cc and they have a minimum for funding your account.

    Oh okay. I might just order/buy a 12x12x20 box if I can’t find a local buyer
