It would be nice if the plastic was quieter than the metal but that certainly isn't a deal breaker. Every neighbor around has metal shovels, anyway.
They come in widths ranging from 12" to 48" so you can get whatever size would work best for you. I went with the 36" since that's the size shovels I have now.
When it wears down (which based on what I'm reading should take a while), you can buy a replacement blade from the manufacturer. The 36" is $38.

The other thing I liked about the construction is my current shovels have on screw that connects the blade to the handle. This one has 3.

I was also curious How toboggan came to be known as type of hat??

I was thinking flat bottom sled to drag across the snow and ice.

Actually saw the weirdest thing this fall. A young Amish guy in a horse and buggy wearing full camo. Made me do a double take. Definitely not a normal occurrence.

    Now that is cool!

The contrast between the over the top luxurious camper and the Ford C Series tow vehicle is kind of a statement to how the very wealthy might view "hired help".

In downstate Pa I saw a ? Mennonite? lady complete with long dress and bonnet -- zipping along on a large zero turn mower.

The properties are kept immaculate down there.

You sure they were Amish? Some of the Mennonites have become quite modern using steel wheeled tractors some even as far as cell phones . So clothing could also have moved along.

Yet still use a Horse and Buggy.

That trailer was built as a over the road Horse trailer to haul very expensive race horses.

I knew those well in my youth.

Who knows it may never have been used in that roll.

Nope. The Amish use cell phones and electric bikes and even extension cords out to the electric meter and sub panel on the pole. They're every bit like us except their holier-than-thou attitudes!

I'm not sure, but I think Amish. We have many types of Mennonites, Dave Martin's are a sect all their own, and we have Amish. It's hard to keep them all straight, but the guy was in an open buggy with wagon wheels, so they're usually Amish or maybe old order Mennonites. :notsure:

Perhaps in Ohio but not here unless things changed that much in 2 years.

Last I tried to get a High Tech inverter welder working off the Raw power of a very old Generator.

How could you have a Sub Panel on the pole then where is the Main Panel?
