4,300ºK is the brightest/ whitest... any higher you go in degrees Kelvin, the DIMMER your lights will be.

you'd be foolish to run 8000k. like david said, 4,300 is OEM brightest white, most run 6,000 but i'm running 4300 phillips bulbs

idk... i have 6000k 35w but for some reason they dont look as bright as my buddy's -he has the same EXACT setup. we cant figure it out. his looks brighter than mine.
6k 35w from DDM slim balast, hi/low. im just saying.
my other buddy's got 8k with 55w, his are really really bright. im thinking to upgrage again to that setup.

Have you tried adjusting your lights yet? They may be aimed up too high.

They just told you he has 55 watt you have 35 watt. You will lose 5 to 10 percent going to 5 k from 4300k. You will lose 10 to 25 percent going to 6 k. You lose over 25 percent going to 8 k.

You will gain 50 percent power by increasing your ballast to 55 watt. You will gain 10 to 25 percent output by switching to 4300 k. You will lose output going to 8000 k.

id like to have the the blueish color to them, im thinkin about just doing the hid kit, instead of just buying aftermarket bulbs.

sorry but its not really a fucked up outlook on it bcz its called aiming them right! and hids are not that bright that they are going to bline people or they wouldnt be manufacturing them into oem cars. and to be exact if your that dumb to look straight into someones headlights coming at you, you should not be on the road at all. thats my opinion. o and you can call me cheap if ya want but projectors are not neccessarily the more expensive route to go. it is all about taste of what you like. and i can probally bet my truck on it i have put more money into my truck in less than a year than you have had yours so dont call someone cheap when you have no idea. good try though
