Has anyone installed this on a 2023 yet? I'm assuming it will work as I don't believe any significant changes were made.

    So. Many. Stickers.
Only changes on the 23 are color options, and the fact that "Trail Edition" is now it's own separate trim, instead of being an SR5 package (still says SR5 on the truck lol)

Just got my 2LM in the mail today, thank you! Waiting on a switch and some audio bits prior to installing on my 23. May be a few weeks but I’ll post up the results when the time comes. As mentioned above, don’t think anything changed that would cause fitment/compatibility issues.

Also, for those of you MT folks that purchased a kit and did not receive a visor card because they were no longer available....

I am working on getting some printed (both MT and AT) and they will be available to order using the same link as in the first post here once they are available. I will make a post when they arrive. I unfortunately can't give them away for orders already shipped, but they will still be included with all new orders.

Do you or anyone else know if they stopped making the visor slot in 2021 or somewhere around there? My truck has a few warnings on the visors but they aren’t the type or size that I can swap out for the 2LO one. I’m thinking Toyota changed something around 2021 but I couldn’t find many pics to compare with my year. I’d like to get the card just because, but not if my truck doesn’t have anywhere to put it.

I can't comment on it as I haven't spent any time in any other trucks, or even thought to look. Lol.

I figured. Mainly was just wondering if anyone had received a card and realized they couldn’t install it in the normal spot.

here’s a few pics of mine. Some are just stickers, others are kind of behind a laminated cover that is stuck to the visor on all 4 sides. Methinks I can’t use the card. Unless I’m just missing something.

Finally found someone who posted this pic. So no, I definitely don’t have the card slot in my 21. Oh well. I haven’t screwed up the sequence yet.

The only thing I haven’t learned (or experimented with yet) is if I can engage the 2LO button and 4HI while moving?

Also, if I’m in 4HI with the 2LO button pressed (essentially in 2hi still), and I unclick the 2LO button but don’t leave 4HI, what happens there? I’m still driving in 2HI, no? If I did that for a certain distance would I get an error? Unclicking the 2lo button wouldn’t put me into true 4HI, would it?

    1. You can press the 2LO button all you want and the truck won't care as long as you don't change the 4x4 selector. All it's doing is setting the relay to "bypass" mode so the Mod can work. 4Hi engages just as it would normally, except with the button pressed it's actually still 2Hi.

    2. You are still in 2Hi in that case. There will be no errors as the ADD needs to be in the same position as it would be for 2Lo and 4Lo and with the switch engaged, we are bypassing it with the relay.

Thanks. The 2nd one gets a bit confusing in my head. I would think unclicking the switch would allow the truck to realize the ADD is in 2hi mode, while the tcase is still in 4HI and would throw an error. Understood that when the switch is clicked, the ADD is bypassed, just didn’t see why the truck would be okay with it being unclicked while tcase is still in one of the 4wd modes.

I guess this also means that if I’m in 2LO and want to go to 4LO, I need to cycle all the way back to normal 2HI (and disable the mod), then cycle back over to 4LO? I had to do that the other day going from boat ramp to mud and wasn’t sure if there were any shortcuts so I did the cycle all the way and back.

Sorry, I missed the "Unclick" part of your post. Yes, I believe it will throw an error if you deactivate your switch while in "4Lo" on the dial.

Yes, to go from 2LO>4Lo or 4Lo>2Lo you need to disable the switch (if you're in 2Lo), and go all the way back to 2Hi.

Hello @RDT415. Did you ever install the 2lo mod on your 2023? I purchased one for my 2021 TRD OR 6MT, but unfortunately, my truck was totaled before I installed it. I just took delivery of my 2023 TRD Pro 6MT and would like to know if you encountered any problems on your 2023. Thanks.

I haven’t yet. Looking to run it off a switch pro. From what I have gathered it should work. As soon as I put it in I’ll report back.

I am a one-man operation with a full time job. I have been doing these harnesses for a few years now with literally hundreds sold. Shipping has always been by USPS proiority mail as it has (in my experience) been the most reliable. Unfortunately around Christmas there were three packages that I dropped in a mailbox (my mistake thinking it would be fine) instead of handing over the counter at the post office. These packages were never scanned and did not reach their destinations. When these customers reached out to me, I immediately either refunded their order in full, or sent a replacement. One replacement that showed as delivered allegedly did not reach its destination the second time. After several messages, and this customer attempting to file a USPS claim, I tried to file a claim and was unable to do so as there was already an open claim. *SHIPPING/DELIVERY ISSUES ARE OUT OF MY CONTROL* If the address you provide at checkout is not accurate, I can only have my shipping software validate it and nothing more. If there is a typo that is still a valid address, it's going to get there. If there seems to be an issue with an order, I will send a message to confirm, as I have done several times. Once the package is dropped at a USPS location, I have zero control over where it goes. If a package does not arrive within a week (domestic), PLEASE CONTACT ME. I can file a claim with USPS so they can attempt to locate the package. If they can not, I will either give you a refund, or send you a replacement.

I do my very best to ship orders quickly and provide tracking information. The Square store was set up to make this process easier and more convenient to anyone wanting to get a harness. Unfortunately that means I am also now at the mercy of payment processors and banks. *PLEASE DO NOT FILE DISPUTES ON ORDERS WITH YOUR BANK* I make every effort to resolve any and all issues. Unfortunately when it comes to USPS claims, they tend to take a while to resolve. If you are impatient and try to rush things, it just makes resolving the problem take longer. When you initiate a charge-back, it comes out of my pocket. The harness sale is a loss, as well as the shipping. There is little overhead on these harnesses and I'm not doing this to get rich.

Yes you can. You just have to supply the switched12v to the relay coil from the switchpros. That would be pin 2 (red 1) in the attached picture. You can tape off or otherwise insulate the rest of the wires.

That is really good to hear! I am guessing no need to program the switched 12v to "momentary" with the switch pro, just the standard on/off function on the panel. Sweet. Waiting on a few more bits to finish wiring the switch pro in.
