Our family mechanic is a good guy, but is such a pain in the ass when doing anything the "right" way. For example, when he installed a PS pump, I had a feeling he would take shortcuts, so I showed up early to see what was going on. Lo and behold, he didn't flush the system, and tried to tell me the in-line filter wouldn't work. Now the second new Napa PS pump is leaking after a week.
We jawed back and forth for awhile, he got pissed, I got pissed. Bear in mind, this is the second PS pump in a year he has installed incorrectly. Maybe he is burnt out but it is a waste of my, our, damn time.
So, who is in Maine that does work they stand behind and is a solid Toyota tech?

Whereabouts in Maine are you looking? Central Maine/bangor area? Portland? Caribou?

Yes, both of the PS pumps installed this year are new Napa parts. One having bad seals? Maybe. Two? Come on now.

Thanks for that level of clarification. Central or Southern Maine. Live in Gardiner.
