Doesn't sound like we get that Battery here in Canada, but I could be wrong!

I'm on year 5 this winter and am playing with fire. I'm probably going to get a Costco Battery as they have one of the best warranties out there. I do however carry a fully charged booster pack, as tis' the season.

So, just did this yesterday. My OEM from 2014 was replaced in Feb 2017. No idea the brand or month rating. In Feb 2017, they put in (under warranty) a TrueStart 84 Month. It finally shit the bed this month. Almost 6 years and 70k miles later! They replaced it with another of the exact same.

I am a fan. I run a couple extra circular power draws with the truck off from time to time. Never worried about starting in the AM. Thought about switching to a YellowTop, but cannot justify the price.

Question for y'all... Because I have other vehicles that I drive more frequently than the Taco, is anyone versed in what Battery Tender would be best for this battery?

    Thanks for the assist.

    Cheers

You answered your own question. Battery Tender or Battery Tender Junior made by Deltran. My opinion is Battery Tender junior is great and only about $50.

There are 3 or 4 flooded cell battery manufactures in the entire US and a zillion names. The simple answer pick them up buy the heaviest one that fits. If you drive it some distance once a week you need nothing else.

Stuff that's seldom used could benefit from a small charger. Buy one with a switching supply they are far better than the old metal case power hogs and far better regulated. They can be left on with little risk of over charging indefinitely.

Walmart batteries are made by Johnson Controls, a well known battery manufacture. That and oil and filters are the only things I buy from Walmart.

There are 3-4 lead battery manufactures in the entire US and dozens of names. The basic ideal is to keep the lead in the US, it falls inline with core charge on the old battery.

Interstate batteries are made by Johnson controls and Excide.

Got tired of problems with our '19 OEM Outback battery when living in GA, and couldn't be bothered to take it in and have them indicate it was working properly. Now I think there's a class-action for shotty batteries.

Went to Walmart 2.5yrs ago and purchased an EverStart Maxx Lead Acid Automotive Battery, Group Size 34N. Price was *VERY* reasonable. Haven't had a problem since and very happy I upped the CCA now that the wife and I are back up in the NorthEast.

Thats right and they make Interstate as well. They come from the same location and delivered to my friend's dealership on the Interstate truck.

Their ever start batteries are junk. I've had them in my boat, and tractor. They don't last like they did years ago. I switched over to deka months ago...so far so good.

What was your experience? How long do you expect a car/truck battery to last?
My wife had an Audi, and at 8yrs, it was still fine.

They are also East Pen and Torgan they own Battery Giant a battery retail battery store. What I am on about just about every thing is rebranded it hard telling where they came from. You want a good battery, seriously pick them up buy the heaviest one. There is an Ever start in my tractor it is 7 years old the one in my truck is 6 it's a NAPA I don't know if it's an Exide or Jonson controls one thing I do know NAPA didn't make it.

Problem with Walmart everstart batteries, a lot of them are remanufacture batteries. I've had them in the past 5 years, and they're garbage. I won't buy any battery except a deka one.
