My Christmas Bronco. Was kinda nice when everyone left and I had some time by myself.

 

Do we share Christmas presents here? If so, I have a story behind the Jeep I got for Christmas. I told my wife I’ve always wanted to own a red Toyota truck and a yellow Jeep. We got the red Toyota this June when I picked up my 2022 TRD OR. As for the yellow Jeep, I guess it’s a Lego version for now. It’s already done some rock climbing though.



Also, I got my mom the Lego flower set for Christmas. It’s probably the only Lego she has ever received beyond the little things her children made her over the years. I think they turned out pretty nice once set in a real vase.

 

Nice Jeep. We bought two for presents for my Grandson and Nephew. Kinda wish I got one too.
The flowers look great. I think I’ll look for one to go on our breakfast table.

 

I got my wife a Lego succulents set awhile back and have thought several times about getting her a flower set. She seemed to enjoy putting the fairly simple succulent set together.

Had fun with this one last night.



As with all of these Modular’s, there were a bunch of mini-builds within the interior that kept things moving along. I forgot all about the Lego “Zen” feeling from building, it’s been so long since I built one myself.

 

Liking this for the silicon mechanic tool mat used for projects. It just occurred to me that this would reduce the rabble rabble rabble racket when searching for pieces. Now I want one about 3x3.

 

So we finished the space cruiser 2 days ago. It was all I could do to slow down my son to extend the build time.

This was flat out one of my most gratifying builds for multiple reasons. Nostalgia/correlation to my old model 487. Complexity. Design. Detail. Scale. Inspiration. Fun with son (and good playability for him). All that = high bang for buck! Plus the action of the rover automatically deploying from the rear bay. I LOLd with glee. So did my wife.

These pics show mostly the guts to reflect my FEELS as stated above.

Repost, but shows how much of the airframe structure under the wings is Technic similar to larger car chassis. And this thing needs that strength!


The ramp caught me by surprise. I think I may have seen a pic of it a long time ago as deployed on the box.

Like you, I LOVED that build! The airlock was the best surprise IMO.
