I'm looking for the cheapest, shortest turn around fiberglass shell for 2015 Toyota Tacoma 5' bed double cab TRD off-road 4x4. What brand fits what I'm looking for?

Whatever you can find on CL and FB marketplace are your best bets. Otherwise, call your local Snugtop, ARE and LEER dealers.

...and determine how flexible you are on color, and on distance you'll drive to get one. Decent canopies show up used all the time, but are rarely perfect matches in one's back yard.

SnugTop and Leer are probably better than ARE but all of them work.
Used is 3x cheaper than new.

may require some searching, distance range farther than local.

my buddy’s is white (truck is not)
And mine is a different color code shade to my truck; similar but not exact.
Not that I even care because the truck is old enough to have noticeable paint fade, so it’s not like there’s quite the nice new paint job to “match” anyway.

maybe I should try to trade it for matching color equivalent shell but I doubt I’d find one fast and I’m looking at having a pro shop re install it properly for now so it all works and is legal.

because such a color trade would be way cheaper than a respray.
Or potentially buy correct color, then sell mine
But still, finding any at all is a challenge let alone locally

and if it’s good/checks out jump on it quick before other 10 interested guys run there
I made that mistake and missed out on a Leer that IMO looks better than SnugTop, that may have even been the same color.

You've really got to stay on top of the various marketplaces if you want a shell for a decent price. They go quick.

I was on every two hours for about a month before finding an ARE shell 5 hours away. For $400, I left work and made that trip. When I got there, he said he had had 20 people trying to bribe him into cutting me off.

Even so, I settled for a factory Line-X'd paintjob, which at the time, I had been looking for a color matched.

Are you asking about ordering a custom product and how long it will take for you to receive it?

If so, methinks calling your local retailers would get you closer than a broad swipe on an internet forum.
