Ok, so I just installed beautiful Bilstein 5100s with OME 884’s. I put an icon had a leaf progressive pack in the back, and wound up with 2 inches in front and 1 inch and back. I am running to 265/70/17s on Trd off-road wheels, and have less than 1/8” taco lean. I Put new to me Trd off-road uca’s on, new sway bar end links, new to me calipers, rotor shields, the works. The front sits at 37 5/8” and almost 37 3/4”, and the back is about 38 5/8” both sides. I have zero rubbing or vibration, aligned perfectly. Now I’m feeling like I made a mistake and wish I had stronger front springs, more height etc. will somebody please tell me it’s just right?! I’ll be in trouble if I spend more money!086DF4CD-46D0-49F2-8127-5465CC87EB4A.jpg

IMO it looks great! Run it for a little while and see what settles and then if you're unhappy then switch it up.

Ok honestly I’m wondering how capable this set up is if I wheel it without a sway bar, and how much it will sag if I add a new bumper.

Ive only got 3rd gen take offs so 1" lift front and none in the rear and I took off the swaybar and am shocked at what it can do. You should be plently capable for most stuff except the extreme. You will lose a fair amount with a front bumper. Probably go to the 885 with bumper or a 887 if you want winch too.

It’s just right, don’t spend any more money. Better?

Serious question: why the UCAs? Assuming yours needed replacing and you snagged a deal.

So it feels and drives great..... LEAVE IT ALONE!!!! Even something as simple as a 1/2 inch more lift could change everything in a negative way. Do you really think a tiny extra bit of lift will change your life with this truck? If so you should have gotten 255's to get more clearance. If you add extra weight figure that stuff out then. But don't get caught up with bumpers etc for nothing, a bumper isn't going to do shit for wheeling. If you want to wheel hard the Tacoma is not the right rig anyway.

2 inch lift is great, plus as you know, fitting bigger tires is more a matter of cutting. Having the access cab you get the shorter wheelbase with a 6 foot usable box. If anything lockers next haha !

You need different wheels (e.g., TRD Pros), roof rack and lights.

    Nice baby lift.

Jk, mine basically is like this. I know how you feel but your truck looks great and be happy it’s driving well.

It’s actually had a couple hundred miles to settle, I think it’s done.

For thirty buck and rust free, with a ball joint and bushings with only 40k on them they were super duper deluxe compared to mine!LOL
