    Anywhere near what?

Although that article says capacity it in is not in the same terms we are using here. What they describe as capacity is what I have used here as demand in order to differentiate the two. I differentiated the two because they are often conflated to confuse the layman.

What they describe is Watts, not Watt-hour, which is demand as discussed here.

Yes, that is my point. And that usage doesn't have to be at the same time as when we have DEMAND issues

Are we splitting hairs? I'd hope most people in a forum like this would be familiar with the legislation

You'd think. But that's not the case. Some are very binary thinking.

Rivian isn't going anywhere. They have lots of current and in the shadows investors and if need be, buyers. They are at a point now where they need to make hard choices but folding isn't one of them.

As much as I chided him here about the words said in this thread it is true that there is a LOT of rhetoric claiming that gas cars are BANNED starting 2035 which is decidedly not true. Even for those that know better, if the same almost true thing is said often enough it ends up making folks believe that is the truth, it's even a recognized argument falacy.

+1 Using some good fancy words too. Well 'fallacy' was spelled wrong but not bad.

Pointing out logical fallacies usually only comes across as pedantic. Recognizing a fallacy gives you ideas to form a counter argument. Just some advice.

Anyway, I don't think we'll have to worry about bans when the EV supply chain hits major challenges

I think people assume it's pandemic snags, but it's possible we've already hit major issues

Yeh, it is clear there are issues at the moment but they're being worked on but production will ramp up again.

It's a 2022 TRD Off Road. It's a very specific build (not stock). Happy to PM you details if you want to know more.

After watching that video I noticed a couple of things. Rivian had shit tires and they didn't looked aired down at all compared to the other trucks. Better ATs and airing down and I bet it would have done better.

No rear differential to hit that rock in the middle looks nice. The 20” or bigger wheels aren’t helpful offroad. There’s not enough rubber to flex/bulge.

Same amount of sidewall on the 20s as a stock Tacoma actually.

Stock. Who wants stock size? Can you fit larger tires on the Rivian?

I saw my first R1S today. It looked pretty nice except for the 22” wheels. I also just noticed on the photo that it looks like the tailgate lights don’t line up with the tail lights.

You might be able to go larger, there’s not a lot of extra room though. I don’t see a need as larger tires on a Tacoma are really just a way to increase ground clearance, something the Rivian doesn’t have a problem with.
