I've tried using a thermometer, but I'm not crazy about it. I use the timer on my phone, mostly because I'll be talking with company or doing something and lose track of time. I'm often grilling backstraps, so cooking time is short. If I screw up, it's usually overcooked. If it's been on the grill at all, I don't consider it under cooked. :D

Come visit… seafood can be glorious. Even a couyon can do it. Instant read thermometer, meat continues to cook when you take it out, and sous vide is a game changer on larger or risky cuts of meat.
Salt, pepper, and minced garlic (if wanted).

The reason you’re getting resistance is that when the boot breaks, the grease comes out (less lubrication), and contaminants can get in. The split boots are crap…. Put a proper boot on. It’s a lot of work to remove, disassemble, clean up, reassemble…. So alot of shops want the easy remove/replace.

Suggestion? Buy a replacement, clean/fix old as spare. Bench rebuilds aren’t hard. If you see damage, don’t.

    Reserected from the dead.
Or in my case, wait until failure.

My last Tacoma split a boot at 26k miles. I said fuck it. I'll re shaft when it fails.

I sold the truck with 300k on the clock. It never broke and I did not baby that truck.

It clicked a bit when in 4high turning sharp at low speeds, but was never noticed at high speeds on straight snowy roads.

I can pass along a baked haddock recipe that is easy and tastes great if you are interested. You would have to work hard to mess it up.

Good morning friends! Yawl have an awesome day :hattip:

Took Cole over and let him shoot the bolt action.22 several times yesterday, he did good. He started getting dialed in and hitting closer to the orange.

    AA7C52BF-4B76-4F9D-9631-26A7602ED2BD.jpg

Then I pretended to load the 6.5 and videod him pinching. He thought it was loaded and didn’t flinch. I explained to him why I did it and he did good. I handed him a shell and this is what he did.

Then we went hunting and didn’t see anything :D

Taking Sadie today, Cole has one more shot at killing one this year and that’s tomorrow afternoon. Supposed to rain, but who cares :infantry:

Goodmorning crew. Friday woohoo, another year of work past. Hope I won't be back until next year.
Feeling a little sluggish this morning and slight headache, so hope not getting whatever my wife been laid out with. Dr finally give her antibiotics night before last. Cold/flu symptoms.
Have a good day everyone. Not much on schedule for me and partner today so we'll fly some stuff up to mezzanine that won't be needed until next outage. Couple gang box's and dozen two wheel carts.
