I was going on 11 days with maybe 10 total hours of sleep knee deep in newborn diapers and the world hadn't quite yet gone to hell from quarantine, those were the days

Did you take any time off when she was born or did you have to work?

Did 2 weeks initially. Then went back, in hindsight I should have taken more for my wife's sake. But then a month-ish later I got a solid 2 months off thanks to the lockdown, which really was a blessing in disguise since I retained salary the whole time and got a lot more quality bonding time with Sofia in that phase than I would have otherwise.

If I were to do it again, I'd do the initial 2 weeks off and then try and do like a part time return for a few more weeks before coming back in full time

I thought about it at first when i was shopping but ended up going pucks and spring route bc it was 175 ish vs 450. Figure ill use that 200 for a front axle to put under this later on.

Rn im on 30x9.50s stock and a bunch of bfh remodeling/fender cutting. Hoping to make a set of 32x11s or a 33x10.50 feasible, who knows :fingerscrossed:

that is awesome that you got the extra 2 months of bonding. Monica is due April 13 and the resort closes on the 16th. I have enough sick and vacation to cover me to mid May then my normal summer brake. So 5 months being home with the baby is going to be amazing.

Nice, yeah the first few months are really important for the initial bonding not to mention support for mom.

Apparently newborns benefit incredibly from skin to skin contact with their parents right after being born, there's a lot of new science about it that's interesting to read. Back in our day after we were both doctors would immediately take the baby for check up and measurements and all, these days they go straight into mom/dads hands assuming everything went well.

Sofia had a fever in-utero during delivery at we had to let the NICU nurse check her out right away but only took a few minutes to make sure she wasn't in critical danger or anything.

32s are going to be a tight fit here is the green truck when it was a 5lug. It had a 6 inch suspension lift. 3 inch spindles and a 3 inch Downey kit.
