Don't blame the police for the laws enacted by your elected officials. The police are not responsible for the surge in crime. Police are not standing by to protect criminals. Throw out your politicians and elect new ones who stand behind the police and empower them to do their jobs. And make sure to have prosecutors and judges who are willing to hold criminals accountable. For the police to catch the criminals, only for them to be released literally within minutes is useless.

 

I think you missed the sarcasm in the original post, but that’s ok…what you said has lots of merit. Its curious, that the majority of people seem to think the way you state, yet the buffoonery continues and the asshats keep getting elected, seemingly at will. Until the people realize that both sides of the proverbial aisle lead to the same dark doorway, and work towards real change, with greater individual responsibility and less group think, nothing is going to change.

Stupid question, when putting the passenger side on, it doesn't quite line up for the "Security Bolts" to thread. Do you just wack it a couple times at the bend to get the extra space?

 

Not sure if you've already tightened the other two bolts... if so, loosen them considerably, then pull the cat cover over to align the security bolts. At least this is what I had to do.... once started, everything tightened up just fine.

 

Thanks for the answer, it was a stupid question. Everything was loose, but I had to pull it over a bit more, the angle wasn't quite right.

 

I had that same problem. just had to get up, drink another beer, and go again.

I ordered mine Nov 15th. They shipped it right when the 2wd/4wd issue came up. I got the email from them (in hotmail spam folder) and told them 2wd. They sent a free return label and I am expecting the 2wd in the first half of January. Plenty of good and easy communication. Have waited since January 2016 so a few more weeks is not an issue.

It helps being old that you have a lot more patience in life.

 

Just pulled the trigger today on a 4wd set. Went with these over Millercat since these don’t need to be removed for maintenance (and they were almost half the price). Looking forward to the install once they arrive!

 

I got my shields installed yesterday morning and as other mentioned about the drivers side making contact, mine was too.
I fiddled with it a bit and thought I had enough clearance between the cat and the shield but when I backed the truck off my ramps I heard the exhaust rattle a little bit.
I figured I would just live with the rattle but I woke up this morning and decided I would try to make a little more room between them. I ended up removing the shield and then put a little bit more of a bend at the back end of the shield where it goes over the crossmember. After installing it loosely in place, I put a c-clamp at the rear to keep it pulled down while I tightened things back together. Once the clamp is removed my gap closes up a bit, Going by eye it looks like I have 1/4” to start but go down to 1/8”.
If I hear them rattle again I’ll grind the two holes for the crossmember bolts upwards so the shield will sink down a little closer to the crossmember.

 

I ordered mine on Nov. 22, they got shipped Dec. 20, now FedEx has them stuck somewhere with no idea where they are....hopefully they will arrive soon.

 

For the 2wd option, I got this email yesterday "They are currently in the bending process. Our goal is to have them ready next week and out for shipment." My order was 11/18.

 

I didn't mine the wait for production as they were probably swamped with orders, just my luck the carrier tracking hasn't updated in 3 days, hopefully they will find it.

 

i got a shipment confirmation and tracking on a friday morning. But it didnt get picked up on that Friday. So it shipped Monday night. And Im just 55 miles across town.

 

Ordered mine Dec. 2..."confirmed", but no shipping notification as of yet.

 

Put some edge guard on there today. Maybe when it gets a little warmer and I have more ambition I’ll take it off, cut the opening larger. Technically it’s not touching but with enough big bumps I think it could. For now I feel a little better about things.

 

Ordered 11/24. Received 12/28.
Installed 12/29 on a 22 TRD off road DCLB.
I tried installing without using a ramp or jacking up the truck. The passenger side went right in. The drivers side was a no go. I don’t have a set of ramps suitable for the truck, but I was able to jack it up enough to install the drivers side.
The drivers side did not touch the Cat, but it was very close.
I took a drive today and am definitely getting a rattle from the drivers side. I’ll try to adjust for some additional clearance once it cools down.
Cali-raised should definitely adjust the drivers side design to address this.



edit - added 1/4” washers to the supplied fasteners between the Cat shield and the frame. Seems to have eliminated the rattle. The washers are about 0.060” thick.

 

great idea..i noticed this also... a little too close for comfort..i might do what you did.
Where did you get the edge guard and size?

Im assuming @CaliRaisedLed is not providing edge guard for the buyers that got the first batch and ordered in November?

 

regarding #2 coolant line (passenger side), will you all provide the rubber edge guard for customers that purchased the first batch in November? I even commented on your youtube install video when I noticed this possible problem the day before I ordered
