it might help to put some strips on the middle parts. angle iron would be best or what you have for the sides....
    just a suggestion.

Coastal offroad and they still bend. With heavy use.

Do you plan to cut a hole for the oil drain plug?

Looks awesome! Lots of work cutting and welding stuff together.

I found that no matter the supports, they will still bend. @Norilsk had some 3/8” gussets bend when I reinforced his skid. That was fun to straighten out. You also want to be sure to know your weak link. Rather a skid bend then rip something off the frame.

Technically it was a 1” thick vertical piece. Still bent.

gotta go thicker, sadly an 16" mk7 armour piercing round will still smoke through 26" plate. we're gonna need to figure something else out...

We know the ARB/TJM "overland" skids don't hold up to an anti-tank mine:

Oh my gosh you @Michaelzg did such a fantastic job!

Your truck is such a unicorn… 1st GEN stepside!

If you ever go wheeling with @Norilsk @3JOH22A @tacoma16 @LP3 & the gang you will need that protection

My 1st GEN skid plate is still tin stock.
