I got back less than 40% of what I paid. I suppose that's why travel insurance exists... haven't considered it in years.

That would definitely make things a lot easier for you. My 4wheeler gets the job done but I wish I had something a little bigger.

    A few.
After seeing some posts here about Southwest it piqued my curiosity, and this video came across my feed last night… sounds like there is more to the story than just weather.

The ol tractor is just my glorified mower, rear blade isn't ideal and I don't have chains for it. I could get a full on 72" boss plow for the gator, and the low end torque it has it would do just fine. I cruised around my field and couldn't get it stuck if I tried haha. With bigger tires and chains it'd be unstoppable. Also through around the idea of just getting a new tractor and ditch the gator.. decisions decisions.

A tractor with a font bucket would be ideal for these kind of storms since the plow can only push so far. I can't really justify buying one just for snow though. I don't think I've had to plow more than 2 or 3 times a year. The snow blower I bought off marketplace for $150 is a beast though. The few spots by the house I can't get to with the plow usually drift the most and until this year I've had to shovel them. I think I'm going to buy a battery powered snow blower for the deck. Shoveling a 12'x60' deck sucks!

I'd have other uses for it fortunately, mowing, auger to fix all my fence, driveway clean up, etc. You can get a plow attachment for the bucket, a bit easier to push snow vs scooping it. Maybe when the gator is paid off I'll look into it. I got it a couple years ago at 0% for 4 years, def worth it.

Get an auger aka snow blower/thrower. Yeah, it's a shit tone more money, and does a superior job than a blade all day long. And you get to see how far you send rocks, frozen dog shit, and the dog's play toys into the next county and through your neighbor's windows.

Bucketing snow sucks cuz snow sticks inside the bucket and you end up pushing it anyways; done that for years on my dad's farm in NH. We got a 4' PTO rear snow auger and that is hands down the best when you have a heated cab with window wipers..........
