P2441 uncorrectable no matter what I do

In response to P2441(secondary air switching valve stuck closed) I have replaced every single component in that system:

    Secondary air switching valve (ASV)
    Secondary air injection pump (AIP)
    Hose connecting AIP to ASV
    Manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP)
    Hose connecting ASV to MAP

In addition, I have bench tested the ASV, found the solenoid to be fully responsive to input voltage; the reed valve is clean and moves freely. Attaching a test lamp to the ASV switching power line shows that the ASV is energized during cold starts, concurrent with AIP operation which is audibly running. I have verified continuity at the ASV electrical connector.

Still I get p2441, 2 codes, 1 pending. It comes back repeatedly after clearing the code with code reader. This is interfering with my ability to register my vehicle.

Have you checked the Air Injection ports and pipe on the engine for blockages?

Secondary Air Injection System Bypass Kit
@Flingel Bunt We deal with this on a daily basis and happy to help troubleshoot. Do not hesitate to give us a call but if you used aftermarket parts that could be causing the persistent error codes. Definetly recommend the Bypass Kit. The worse case scenario would be damage to factory wiring harness or ECM.

    none... so far
I JUST had this happen to my 2015. I added one bottle of "Heet" to the tank, filled it up, and within a short time, the lights and error code went away. I had the engine and trac light on the dash, had it scanned at two places (Auto Zone and Advanced auto) and they both came up with only the one code P2441.

So.. it may be bit of moisture/condensation. which is bad. and, for $2.50 a bottle of Heet, worth a few tries.

@Donte Washington It’s no secret that secondary air injection systems on Toyota vehicles are prone to failure. The primary reasons we see error codes occur are mechanical, electrical, or pressure sensor faults. Many factors contribute to these failures, including moisture entering the system, air pump debris, carbon buildup, and general wear and tear. Glad you found simple solution! However, if you happen to see SAIS faults in the future do not hesitate to contact us.

    Thanks for these suggestions

I just started throwing the P2441 code this morning.

I did the UNI filter mod a few years ago, wonder if it's time for replacement :notsure:
