UWS, can't see the top of the tailgate since it's not a low pro but have never had a problem with it. If you lift up a bit you can see the top of the tailgate. Black coming off a little also. It's about 2 years old. Also have what's called the toolbox tonnoe, it's a shorter version to fit with the tool box.

fyi. giving the truck to my son who doesn't want the toolbox so the box and the tonnoe needs to go. will sell both cheap or trade for a nice full length tonnoe to fit the dbl cab bed.

since I'm sure someone would ask. UWS box = $150. Extang Tonnoe $125.

picking up an 08 tundra 4x4 shortly

Here's a link to what I have, my box is a black UWS but this is the cover:

What happened to your alloy wheels??? You didn't like the wheels that the trucks come with? Just curious.

Some people seem to like the look of the black rims. In other words, it is intentional and a look they want.

My awesome homemade boxes (brown ammo cans) leaked like crazy with the recent rain here. I had sealed all seams with silicone and put weatherstripping on the lids. When the silicone was new I went through automatic car washes with no problem but it apparently fails with summer heat, as does the weather stripping in the lids. I'm not gonna reseals my boxes every year so they are in the garage and I have a nice shiny pepboys special in their place. Seems to do the trick and it's long enough for most my rifles.

Figured I'd save someone else the hassle.

Nothing like having a $150 calculus book get soaked.

I had one shot with Line-X one time. It looked great and held up well. I would definitely have it done professionally if you go that route.
