2023 TRD OR extra cab in magnetic Grey for $40,000. Has some extras like the predator steps and floor mats, skid plate, tailgate insert, and stupid paint protection. I Was able to get it $950 below MSRP so out the door with taxes and tags I’m at $42,200 here in New Mexico. I originally wanted a manual but I’m going to tow a casita trailer so I figure auto is better.

For anyone in SF Bay Area, here's some quick info:

Marin, Oakland, Dublin, Putnam - online, Santa Rosa - Online are doing MSRP only
Hayward does MSRP but they charge $1000 - $1500 extra for a very minimal PPF which in my opinion is complete bull shit
    Milpitas doing $4k over MSRP

I just got my 2023 TRD Off Road at MSRP from Dublin two days ago. But the trucks are flying out from the lot so if you want one, you gotta move fast the moment you hear that they have one in the lot.

It hasn't been quite 2 years but I paid MSRP $38,803 for my Sport in May 2021 (Easton, MD) with only door sills and floor mats.

I'm buying from AN Hayward. I think what they charge for basic PPF is fair. It's better then a random paint and fabric coating since its tangible.

It'll be the second vehicle I buy from them in 1.5 years. Great customer service.

I could be wrong but when I asked them to show me where exactly they did the PPF, they showed me an example PPF on a Camry which was on the floor. Basically what they showed me was a partial PPF on the inside of door handles, fender liners, etc. I have done PPF on my Tesla and TBH I would still say $1500 is very very expensive for the amount of (partial) PPF they are doing on vehicle. Just my 2c :).

On our RAV4, its half fenders, half hood, door edges and cups. It'l be the same for the Tacoma.

I've gotten estimates for full front end PPF and it's in the excess of $2500+ in Los Angeles.

You're better off doing PPF on the entire panel otherwise it will leave a line when it's removed. That stuff doesn't last forever and yellows and bubbles over time too. I don't care for it.

not mentioned. No mark up. Some have $1500-2000 off depending on trim.

no Tacomas are flying “off the lots” that’s some 2021 bs. They are the most common Toyotas on the lot today. Deals to be had… oh and gas highlanders

    Good to know

some dealerships have it as a required option and you can’t do anything about it besides lookin for a different dealer that doesn’t install it.

I have been looking specifically for Tacoma TRD Off Road short bed and I pretty much went to most dealers in East Bay. Either they had only one or two in the lot or none at all. Idk about the other trims or configs but I know for sure that they are very limited in stock and they got sold very fast

Yeah, that's why although the Hayward dealership was barely 10 mins away from me, I had to go to a different dealer far away from me to get one :(

If you uncheck the "In transit" option, you will see that there's only 4 available. I talked to Caleb at Oakland Toyota and he said most of these transit cars are in Allocation phase which means they could take months to show up in the lot.

Anyway, like I mentioned in my post, I was specifically looking for TRD Off Road and not SR or any other trims. I haven't checked on other trims so it could be that they are available more than TRD Off Roads.

Santa Rosa had a bunch both in the front and rear lots when I was there. It's where I bought my truck from a few days ago. Website says they have 74 in stock, 22 of them are TRDOR.

Though I really didn't appreciate that stupid game they play where they claim "Starguard" is a mandatory charge. It's the vehicle tracking system thing for your phone.

They claimed its preinstalled and isn't optional, so if I didn't want to pay for it I would have to reserve an incoming vehicle instead. Once I said I was gonna walk, SUDDENLY it's optional. Even during financing the guy said it's optional. Hate those stupid games they play.

    Freeman ?

They used to be the good guys… non markup now they have 5k on the pros…

got mine from Novato… prior to that City Toyota. Both played games but once I told them cash deal… they both played nice

Yeah Freeman. Sister bought a 4runner from the them last year and zero games were played. Negotiated over the phone and was at the dealer for only an hour. This most recent experience was kind of disappointing. Maybe it was just the salesman though.

I purchased a 22 from City Toyota in Daly City a year ago. Got it $1k under MSRP. Drove from Sacramento (best deal I could find in N Cal). Was at the dealership for less than an hour with a test drive. I tried Dublin they had a $5k mark up on everything.

I looked there but its quite out of the way if you're flying into SFO.

A lot of "in transit" vehicles are claimed or if they are on the lot, they have markups.

Here in LA, the wait is long and the customer service sucks. Which is why I decided to do business with AN Hayward again. Flying into OAK and spending the weekend in the Bay area is a nice mini vacation for us. At the end of the day, it's still cheaper then paying 4-5000 markup down here.
